Fault Tolerant Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
Vaško, Dávid ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with fault-tolerant machines. The first part covers the theory of faults in electrical machines and the possibility of increasing fault tolerance, especially for PMSM. The second part includes the analytical calculation of the main dimensions of the Dual-Three phase Fault-Tolerant surface mounted permanent magnet machine needed to create a RMxprt model. In the third part, the thesis deals with creating a model in ANSYS RMxprt, Maxwell 2D, and Motor-Cad and comparing the results. In the fourth part, the machine was optimized for the highest possible torque density at the highest efficiency and simplified thermal model was built including oil cooling. The fifth part deals with simulations of fault conditions: open circuit and single-phase short circuit. In the sixth part, a motor with interior permanent magnets was designed and simulated under the same fault conditions.
Losses reduction of single-phase induction motor
Vaško, Dávid ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
Bachelor thesis Losses reduction of single-phase induction motor deals with issues of increasing the efficiency of single-phase induction motor JMO90-4S-90 from EMP s.r.o. Slavkov near Brno. The first part deals with the theory of induction motors, especially single-phase motors and analysis of losses in induction machines. The second part deals with the introduction of motor solutions and methods used for loss reduction. In the third part, the thesis deals with the calculating selected parameters, the design of motors in RMxprt, and their modification for improving efficiency. The fourth part deals briefly with the design of motors in Ansys Maxwell, comparison of results obtained from Maxwell and RMxprt with the results from measurement for motor JMO90-4S-90 and comparison of results from Maxwell and RMxprt for other motor solutions.
