Klára Tilkovská Novokřtěnectví jako inspirace pro americkou náboženskou scénu Anabaptism as an Inspiration for American Religious Scene The current American religious scene, with all its manifestations, is bound to the sources of American Christianity. American Christianity was in its infancy strongly influenced by Anabaptism. Quakers, Mennonites, Amish - all of them shaped the American history as well as cultural and spiritual history. The reason of this project is to demonstrate to what measure is the current theological reflection and especially the American religious scene dependent on traditional models of Anabaptism and how far these ideas are present today. Primarily, we need to establish some common features of historical classical Anabaptism, that influenced the history of American Christianity. It is essential to briefly summarize the various Anabaptist streams in the United States of America. Finally it will be described the actual state of Anabaptists based on my own research from the year 2012.
