Modelling of flow over two transversal ribs in a channel with free surface
Sládek, A. ; Příhoda, Jaromír ; Stanislav, Jiří
Numerical simulation of turbulent flow over two transversal ribs on the bottom of a channel with free surface was carried out. The VOF (Volume-of-Fluid) method implemented in the commercial software FLUENT 6.3 was used for the solution of supercritical flow in a channel with free surface. The two-equation turbulence model according to Shih et al. was applied. The simulation was realised for ribs with the relative spacing t/b = 6; 10 and 20. Profiles of mean velocity and velocity fluctuation obtained by numerical simulation were compared with experimental data from LDA and PIV measurements. The behaviour of free surface over ribs was compared with experiments as well.
Numerical modelling of the surface roughness effect on the energy losses in blade cascade
Stanislav, J. ; Příhoda, Jaromír ; Šafařík, Pavel
The work deals with the application of rough wall model implemented in the commercial code FLUENT 6.1 for the solution of subsonic flow through the blade cascade SE1050. Numerical solution is compared with experimental data and the effect of wall roughness on energy losses is estimated for the subsonic flow regime.
Numerická simulace proudění ve 2D kanále s drsnými stěnami
Stanislav, J. ; Sládek, Aleš ; Příhoda, Jaromír
Numerical simulation of the 2D channel flow with rough walls was carried out by means of the commercial code FLUENT 6.1. Results were compared with experimental data for rough wall modelled by abrasive paper with grit of 60. The effect of the computational grid on velocity profiles near the wall and on the friction coefficient was tested.
Modelling of rough-wall flow in a straight channel
Stanislav, J. ; Šafařík, P. ; Příhoda, Jaromír ; Sládek, Aleš
The contribution deals with numerical solution of three-dimensional incompressible flow in the straight channel with rough walls using the commercial code FLUENT 6.1. The effect of the computational grid is investigated using k-epsilon turbulence model modified for the rough wall. Used versions of grids are analysed in detail and results are compared with experimental data.
Entrerpreneur and his perception of risk
Stanislav, Jiří ; Lukeš, Martin (advisor) ; Schuster, Karel (referee)
This thesis is focused on entrepreneurial thinking and on the perception of risk of particular entrepreneurs. The introduction acquaints the reader with the thesis scope and contains descriptions of particular chapters. The thesis goals are also described shortly. The thesis is divided into two main parts -- a theoretical part and an applied (practical) part. The theoretical part includes entrepreneurial factors which influence entrepreneurial risk, a description of risk, and a risk analysis with respect to entrepreneurs` working and personal life. The applied part contains data analysis which was gathered during in-depth interviews with particular entrepreneurs. Analysis is drawn up based on the theoretical aspects.
