Ethics and economics aspects in advertising

This thesis deals with ethical and economic aspects of advertising and examines how advertising is perceived by consumers and whether self-regulation through a Code of advertising, which is published by the Advertising Council, protect consumers adequately from negative influences. The theoretical part provides information that is important to understanding of this issue. It contains information relating to the economy, ethics, marketing and advertising and how they work together. All this information was gathered from relevant literature and internet sources. The theoretical part contains an evaluation of questionnaire and sample comparison of opinions of consumers with the Council for advertising. The end of the work contains a summary of information that we have learned and suggestions how to resolve the situation, or at least improve.
