Architecture of a contemporary house in Beskydy
Mrva, Kamil ; Žabičková, Ivana (referee) ; Peřinková, Martina (referee) ; Rak, Milan (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of architecture of a contemporary single-family house in The Beskydy region. In the introduction of the thesis The Beskydy region as well as the document of the Protected landscape area of Beskydy (Chráněná krajinná oblast - CHKO Beskydy) are described. In recent years the above mentioned topic has been discussed a lot among the architects and designers of the region. Current architecture in the CHKO Beskydy has been stagnating for years due to the fact that in this region quality architecture of a little higher level will always necessarily be in conflict with the devastating policy of the CHKO Beskydy. The objective of the thesis is to specify rules that need to be observed when creating a contemporary single-family house in the Beskydy region. The design as well as the realization of a single-family house in Prostřední Bečva serves to experimentally verify the thesis. This thesis, including the analysis of the obtained data, collecting information, technical examination and authorized expert opinions, has performed as an important part of the engineering process leading to the approval of architectural projects from the institutions of the state administration.
Transformation of European exhibition and fair areas
Štěpánková, Lenka ; Rak,, Milan (referee) ; Boháč,, Ivo (referee) ; Wittmann, Maxmilian (advisor)
Exhibition centres represent a specific type of urban space within the present-day European cities and their current form results from a long development in the past. While exhibition venues are the subject of study from multiple points of view (e.g. economics, urban policy, leisure studies) their spatial quality and urban characteristics stay somewhat aside and a theoretical frame for their all-encompassing description and assessment of their possible impact on the urban development of cities is missing. Comparison of exhibition centres from various European regions and countries is further complicated by the existence of language barriers which have an impact on the accessibility of relevant and comparable data. The thesis submits information about the previous and current form of European exhibition centres and the processes that shaped their form are described in detail. The FFF theory proposed by the author herself is employed to analyse the relation between form, function and financial subjects with the aim to arrive at conclusions which could be applied within the current conditions in the Czech Republic. Summarized knowledge about European exhibition centres and venues helps to understand the role they play within the cities and the necessity to protect their historical value upon future transformations. It is also needed to predict their possible further development and unfold their urban potential.

Krein, Nikita ; RAK, Štěpán (advisor) ; ZELENKA, Milan (referee)
This thesis deals with the contribution of Belarusian composers to the 20th and 21st century guitar repertoire. The aim of this is to highlight important role of authors from Belarusian guitar school in creating guitar repertoire not only in Belarusian context. The first part of this thesis focuses on the works of professional composers composing for guitar, as well as the works of Belarusian guitarplayers-composers.Also, I systematised published ,usic material and methodological publications regarding guitar, from the historically first guitar anthology in Belarus till today. In the second part, I analysed chosen guitar composition of Belarusian author - the Concert for guitar , strings and bells from Galina Gorelova. While determining the contribution of Belarusian composers to guitar repertoire, I first researched the background of professional guitar education and interpretation in Belarus in soviet times. These are the roots of madern professional guitar composer school. The work of particular composers has been analysed based on their interpretation, pedagogic and composer activity in historical and music - cultural context. I analysed the Concert for guitar, strings and bells in three parts from G. Gorelova from the point of view of guitar part, its role in this composition, dramaturgical content and musical form.I managed to systematise the work of Belarusian composers- guitar players and non - guitar players, as well as publishing of their opuses and compositions, and to include them into a broader context of Belarusian guitar school development. The benefit of work lies in highlighting the role of Belorusia composers in creating guitar repertoire not only in Belarus. Based on data ascertaned, it is possible to contend that Belarusian guitar players and composers contribute significantly to the 20th and 21st century guitar repertoire.

Joaquín Rodrigo - A Journey to Fame
Czuczor, Patrik ; ZELENKA, Milan (advisor) ; RAK, Štěpán (referee)
My Bachelors Thesis called Joaguín Rodrigo - A journey to fame originated mainly from some translations from publucations in foreing languages ( most often from english or spanish). This choice of personality of Joaguín Rodrigo as a theme of my work was just a logical, because his most favourite work - Concerto for guitar and orchestra called Concierto de Aranjuez is in every respect the most played and can say also the best composition for the instrument which I follow up. I have already describe the circumstances which led me to narrow down the theme to the certain - relativela short - period of composers life in preface: Joaguín Rodrigo lived for very long time and therefore it is very complicated to find suitable literature about his personality and his works, so I described specially that period of his life which is in my opinion the most interesting for me as well as for some other readers, so this tima which prevented creation of already mentioned Concierto de Aranjuez after which he became famous very quickly ( hence the neme : J.R. - A journey to fame). I think, my Bachelors Thesis may be very useful especially for those who are, the same as me, interested in the personality and Works of Joaguín Rodrigo, possible to other celebrities associated with the Spanish culture that the text is also mentioned in connection with my topic. The main contribution of my work is, in my opinion that I sought a lot of information in foreing publications, which are not currently available to virtually all and I got quite a lot of musical and other illustrations, which can also be extremely difficult to get.
