Smart Solar Luminaire
Patera, Jan ; Novák, Filip (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with designs, constructions, measurement of light technical parameters and energy consumption on a test prototype of a smart solar light fixture. The goal of the work was to create a survey of solar-powered lighting fixtures and to determine the potential of solar energy in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, find out and use methods for saving electrical energy depending on its stored amount and the need for lighting. The practical part is focused on the actual design, construction and measurement on the manufactured prototype of the light fixture. The algorithm used for changing the substitute chromaticity temperature during the day and the application for controlling the light fixture are described here. The measured values of light technical and electrical quantities are listed here. In the last part, the shortcomings of the prototype and possible suggestions for its improvement are presented.
Use of Renewable Energy Sources for Water Recovery
Patera, Jan ; Vojtek, Martin (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with a summary of the basic theory for obtaining water from air humidity and it‘s following treatment in order to meet the hygienic regulations of drinking water. It presents the basic principles usable for obtaining water from the air, also presents the basic principles, including a basic overview of existing equipment for obtaining water from the air. It defines ideal conditions for obtaining water using atmospheric water generators. In a specific locality is determined a proposal for the water yield with energy performance during the year. Furthermore, the work deals with the use of renewable resources in obtaining water and the possibility of its subsequent treatment.
Decision trees
Patera, Jan ; Sáblík, Václav (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents description on several algorithms for decision trees induction and software RapidMiner. The first part of the thesis deals with partition and terminology of decision trees. There’re described all algorithms for decision tree construction in RapidMiner. The second part deals with implementation and comparison of chosen algorithms. The application was developed in C++. Based on the real datesets the comparisson of different algorithms was realized using Rapid Miner 4.0.
