Némethová, L., Consumer demand for the beef meat in Slovakia. Bachelor Thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2017. Bachelor thesis deals with analysis of the economic structure of consumer demand for beef meat in market of Slovak households and compares it with the three selected countries of the European Union - the Czech Republic, Sweden and Romania. The thesis emphasizes the price and income relations, where it quantifies the differences in consumers behavior based on the coefficients of price and income elasticity of demand. Coefficients are obtained from assembled consumption patterns in econometric program Gretl. The analysis is based on data from national statistical offices of beef consumption, price and income of the population observed for a period of 15 years. Assembled models for each country are economic, statistical and econometric verified. The resulting values of elasticity coefficients are interpreted and compared with each other. The last chapter is dedicated to adjust the marketing strategy of Slovak companies dealing with the processing and marketing of beef meat.

Diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the development of particular company towards the finalization of the food vertical and with the elaboration of the entry of this company into a particular market. From the theoretical basis, the work focuses on the definition of the characteristics of agribusiness, the description of the ongoing changes in its development and on the methods of making business plans. In this context, the own work itself mainly deals with the preparation of a coherent business plan for the production of ready chilled meals, using the possibility of integration into the existing successful commodity chain - Farmfoods. Attention is paid to the analysis of the business environment, the context that led to the implementation of this solution, the description of the solution, but also the evaluation of the potential, benefits, risks and overall assessment of the proposed production.

Némethová, L. Comparison of technologies of winter wheat fertilization in the operating conditions of agricultural farms in Slovakia. Bachelor Thesis. Brno: Mendel Univer-sity, 2018. The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of wheat fertilization technologies of two farms in Eastern Slovakia. Technology A is the traditional technology, that focuses on the quantity of production using the maximum nitrogen doses in the forms of mineral and organic fertilizers. In contrast there is the alternative technology B, that minimizes its costs by reducing the amount of mineral fertilizers to the soil, what maximizes profit. Technology B builds its philosophy on the use of foliar and bacterial nutrition. The technologies are compared over three years using mostly economic indicators where the most important indicator is the contribution to cover indirect costs and profit gene-ration. From this point of view, B's technology was evaluated as better, even though company A had a significantly higher yield per hectare each year.
