Simulation and realization of laboratory DC power supply
Mach, Ladislav ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The thesis deals with analyses of the laboratory symmetrical supplies with adjustable output voltage. It also describes different kinds of current cut-out circuits and several most frequent supply connection schemes. Analyses (simulation program OrCAD) show the characteristics and behaviour of the mentioned supplies. To set the output voltage, operational amplifier structures or linear three-terminal voltage regulator are very often used. The suggested supply was tested and its parameters compared with the simulations. The value of output voltage and current can be controlled with a computer with a USB port. For controlling of the output voltage and current the digital potentiometers were used and controlled by I2C bus.
Solder Joint Conductivity - Influence of Solder Volume and Isothermal Aging
Mach, Ladislav ; Schnederle, Petr (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis analyses electrical conductivity of lead-free solder joints. The test method design for monitoring the electrical conductivity of the soldered joint is described in the practical part. Simulated BGA package with four pin (BGA4) is used for experiments. Tested PCBs are subjected to isothermal aging and current load. During isothermal aging is measured electrical conductivity and optical microscope is used for intermetallic layer (IMC) growth observation. Two types of surface finish (OSP and ENIG) are used for tests and three diameters of solder terminal balls (solder alloy SAC405). The influence of the ratio area connection / solder volume (ratio S / V) on lead-free solder joints conductivity was evaluated.
Aplication of SI, superinductors and FDNR in frequency filters
Mach, Ladislav ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis explains possibilities to substitute inductors in electronic circuits and at the same times it shows the calculation of individual discrete elements. An inductor may be substituted in two ways. Either by means of a circuit which directly replaces the inductor as a discrete element, or the circuit may be transformed into another one with similar features. For the second option, however, a synthetic FDNR element has to be used. It is a frequency depended negative resistor. Students can try out the use of superinductors, synthetic inductors in frequency filters with a specially designed facility. They also can transform inductivity and capacity arbitrarily in both directions, higher and lower.
