Market survey of high power semiconductor devices
LED luminaire control
Jankovský, Martin ; Zemánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main topics of the thesis are luminaries based on LED technology and methods for driving them. The aim of theoretical part is to offer basic knowledge about LEDs, their categories, advantages and disadvantages. The basic methods for driving LED modules are also presented. Based on these facts the design of LED switching power supply for street lighting is presented. The aim is to reach high power factor. The function of the devices is presented by examining parts of the power supply.

Stanovení vzorců selektivního chování rybářů ve statistikách českého rekreačního rybolovu
Jankovský, Martin ; Pivnička, Karel (advisor) ; Slavík, Ondřej (referee) ; Adámek, Martin (referee)
Methods for detecting patterns of angler selective fishing behaviour in the long term recreational fishery statistics are presented in this Ph.D. Thesis. The motivating idea is that mainly different anglers' fishing preferences or attitudes towards particular fish species obstruct applying anglers' catches data for ongoing use in ichthyology research. Better recognising angler selectivity is therefore judged to be the key point from the viewpoint of fish and fishery sciences. Methods affecting angler behaviour can be directly applied by other specialists, e.g. social scientists. The thesis consists of five papers two of which are published (paper 1, 2), other two of which are accepted for publishing (paper 3, 4) and the last of which (paper 5) is in the status of manuscript before submitting. In the first two papers the role of common carp catches is focused. By using multivariate techniques it is studied if the increased exploitation of carp increases also the exploitation of other fish species. Time series of carp catches serve as an explanatory variable, other species catches through the same time are processed as independent variables. According to expectations the positive effect of carp catches on those of the other species was approved at the river section with the highest expected density...
The dynamics of anglers' attendance and exploitation of carp in the Hostivař Reservoir directly after stocking and out of this period
Winterová, Michaela ; Jankovský, Martin (advisor) ; Čech, Martin (referee)
The main hypothesis supposes a different angler behavior directly after stocking and out of this period. The aim of this work was to evaluate carp preference according to time (within one day in one district) and place (choice of the locations) variability. As an explanatory parameter the number of environmental factors was tested such as weather, the type of a bait or the sensitivity of fishing technique. This information was surveyed by interviewing the anglers at the Hostivař reservoir. The survey took place in two periods - in autumn 2008 after stocking and comparing period in spring 2009. Data elaboration was taken with CANOCO statistic ver. 4.5 software, when the factors influencing frequency of fish species were searched for. Significantly tested were the factors of bread bait, increasing volume of fishing line and amount of anglers proving the concern of that group for orientation of carp catch. From the following results was obtained the average time spent by the anglers at Hostivar - approximately 5 hours. The average visit rate in autumn was 39.2 angler/day and in spring 34.1 angler/day. The analyses of fishing location show the popularity of places with easy entrance to the bank and the better carp catch in those places. The anglers' efforts were in autumn 2002.7 hours/ha/year and in...
Ecological aspects of the energy use of wood chips
Ručová, Karolína ; Štícha, Václav (advisor) ; Jankovský, Martin (referee)
Currently, the importance of renewable energy sources (RES) is much higher than before. Among the most important RES we rank biomass, which consists of more than half of produced energy from renewable sources. Using biomass increases the utilization of wood fuels and greater emphasis is placed on their processing requirements. The purpose of this study is to assess the ecological parameters that affect the use of wood chips for energy purposes, based on a comparison of existing norms and standards. The first part is focused on theoretical use of wood waste and subsequent utilization of therefrom made fuel. Subsequently there is evaluated the use of fuel for energy purposes in practice. The work also includes examining factors (calorific value, humidity, etc.) affecting the quality of biofuels in different seasons. The contribution of this work is to document the flow of wood waste, proving the benefits of recycling wood waste and recommendation for action in the future.
Wood seasoning of poplar Populus maximowiczii x P. nigra ´Max 1-5´ using evapo-transpiration
Švejkar, Tomáš ; Štícha, Václav (advisor) ; Jankovský, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with the possibility of using evapotranspiration for efficient drying of wood. An important prerequisite is that the trees with good coppice pleated capability even after they are felled and physiologically active until they have enough water in the wood. The physiological activity sheets then accelerates the drying of wood. In search of work deals with familiarization with the problems of drying biomass possibilities of its use, and other definitions associated with this work. The main output of this work is to evaluate the decrease in water content in the wood poplar Populus maximowiczii x Populus nigra 'Max 1-5', chopped down just before the start of the growing season, due to evapotranspiration. In discussing data are compared with other available literature and summarized at the end of everything.
