Security Standards Analysis of the Health Facilities in the Czech Republic

This thesis is mainly focused on the security standards of the health facilities in the Czech Republic and on the precautions case study in the field of the security (the areas of the personal protection, of the property protection and of the personal data and diagnosis protection) in the concrete hospital. The thesis is opened with the theoretical part. It is attended to the specification of the key stone and basic concepts of the issue (security, safety analysis and audit, security standards, non-standard situations, safety measures) that allows readers to understand all of them in the proper way. The following chapters are focused on patient safety and health care in the Czech Republic and on the activities of the international organizations. Furthermore the chapters make reference to the International programmes of Accreditation of healthcare Organizations, ISO (standards of the International Organization for Standardization and technical standards). The second part is a case study. The aim of this practical part of the thesis is to discover, through a combination of the quantitative and qualitative research methods, the current security status in one specific Czech hospital.
