The Harmonic Flute and Its Derivates in Carpathian Regions of the Czech Republic - an organological hologram
Šidlo Friedl, Marian ; Matoušek, Vlastislav (advisor) ; Kratochvíl, Matěj (referee) ; Garaj, Bernard (referee)
AND KEYWORDS The dissertation The Harmonic Flute and Its Derivatives in the Carpathian Regions of the Czech Republic - an organological hologram contains the summary, analysis and syntheses of data obtained through the research of little-known instrumental kind in this area of the Czech Republic. Most of the data is published for the first time in this range. In three chapters - Harmonic flute, Tradition, Present - the musical instrument is viewed from many perspectives. The harmonic flute is displayed as a part of worldwide and Carpathian instrumentary; its acoustic and playing features are explained, archaic manufacturing methods are shown and the possible influence on musical thinking of the area is discussed. The theses also investigates the harmonic flute and its derivatives as disappeared musical instruments of the local traditional music and tries to map contemporary revival of its manufacturing and playing. The dissertation is based on analysis of written, audio and visual documents, comparisons, experimental reconstructions, empirical evaluation of objects in museums and private collections and interviews with informants. The theses includes an extensive photo documentation and a CD with audio samples discussed in the text. This theses was inspired by models formulated by...
The control unit of the door systems for public transport
Jablončík, Lukáš ; Vlachová Hutová, Eliška (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor´s thesis is to design a control unit of the door systems for public transport. The control unit is designed by using modern components. Their availability should be not less then ten years. The unit is controlled by a microcontroller ATMEGA and the motor is switched using the h-bridge. The control unit has ten programmable inputs and two switching outputs. PCB design is optimized for mass production. The result is a functional prototype of control unit.
Lead-acid baterry charger with automatic cycle
Moravec, Pavel ; Friedl, Martin (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
The lead-acid batteries are still important and very often used type of battery even in 21st century. This project is focused on development of charger, which provides fast, but save charging of batteries with respect to maximum life time and reliability. The developed system uses constant current charging and constant voltage charging methods. It's specialized in charging batteries with liquid or gel electrolyte and traction types of batteries, which works with 12 V value of voltage. It's able to charge safely the deeply discharged batteries and when battery is unpluged for a long time, it can keep its capacity at maximum level too. The charger can choose optimal charging process according to the discharged level of battery. Each charging phase is interpreted by light signals and the achievable charging current is 20 A.
Musical multi effects analysis
Masár, Igor ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with guitar effect and guitar sound in general. Most widely used effects are described as well as their output time courses are simulated. There is a comparison of analog and digital effects. There is also explained the principal of guitar multiefects, described all parts of guitar efect chain and determined key parameters, which has the main impact on quality of final sound. It is used to describe a methodology for measuring multi-effects and the results obtained by this measurement. The last part deals with psychoacoustic measurements.
ISM band wireless transmission
Juráň, Jeroným ; Nešpor, Dušan (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
This document summarizes the basic possibilities of communication using ISM bands. It also includes extracts from the ČTÚ regulation concerning usage of ISM bands. The theoretical part describes mainly the functions of chosen transmitter and receiver module. Secondly it describes the design and realization of transmitter and receiver devices including the C libraries for basic use, usable distance measurement and example application using developed devices.
Position indikator behind the wall
Slavíček, Radek ; Friedl, Martin (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is focused on explaining of basics of electromagnetism and principles of resonant circuits. These solutions are used for design the indicator opposite position. The next step of document is solution by using magnetic field for design of transmitter and receiver antennas for electronics devices. The final products are solved as the best way for the design. Development process is described step by step in individual chapters.
Design of Planar Optical Waveguide
Dvořák, Václav ; Friedl, Martin (referee) ; Nešpor, Dušan (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the theoretical fundamentals of planar optical waveguides, possibilities of their fabrication and design of planar optical waveguide. Design of waveguide will be simulated using FDTD Solutions and Ansoft HFSS. These two software use different techniques for computational simulation. The parameters of waveguide will be modified to achieve better performance of waveguide. The result will be compare the properties of waveguides. There will be also described design of implementing waveguide.
Arterial Puncture Simulator
Martincová, Kateřina ; Szabó, Zoltán (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
The topic of this smestral thesis is to design arterial puncture simulator, which could be used as a device for teaching first aid. At first there are presented and described simulators available on the market. Followed by the analysis of individual components that were selected for the construction of the simulator. The control unit, which switches the bistable valve is realized by Arduino. Liquid jetting is facilitated by expansion container. The result of this thesis is design and testing of components of prototype arterial puncture simulator.
Measurement of electric potential on biological objects
Rúbal, Radek ; Friedl, Martin (referee) ; Klusáček, Stanislav (advisor)
Resource kit for measuring voltage sources with high impedance was designed. This resource kit is suitable for measuring electric potentials on biological objects, especially on plants. Based on the design, workplace controlled from PC that allows automatic measurement was implemented. Workplace functionality was experimentally verified. Experiments led to use of electrodes that minimize interfering electrochemical voltage. Electric potential changes were recorded not only in connection with different substrates but also with the change of light intensity.
Current sensor signal processing using microcontroller
Tlustoš, Luboš ; Chytil, Jiří (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
In this thesis is described Wiegand wire, current sensor using Wiegand wire effect and processing the output signal from the current sensor using a microcontroller. The document is divided into chapters, each of which are generally described microcontrollers and their applications to signal processing. It also describes the design of circuits for generating sine wave, circuits for appropriate adjustment of the output signals from the sensor current and a draft power source.
