Vocation as a Basis for the Life in Christ My diploma Work is aiming at demonstrating God's vocation as the only possible basis of the Christian life (the life in Christ). Simultaneously, it refers to the Fact that the folk understanding of the term "vocation" as presented in the introduction is inaccurate and unqualifiedly narrowing. In the first chapter there are shown some different viewpoints on this topic selected from the chosen church documents. The subject of the second chapter is vocation as described in the Holy Bible. The third chapter deals with the "life in Jesus" (the Christian life) and its concrete manifestation in lives of individuals and communities.
