BRABENCOVÁ, Markéta
This diploma thesis focuses on the project-based learning as a complex teaching method and its possible application in lower-secondary school education. The aim of this thesis is to create an educational project focused on a chosen theme from the field of "Human and Society" and its verification in practice. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and analytical. Theoretical part interprets information about contemporary expert views on the project-based learning considering its possible application within the educational field "Human and Society", particularly in the field of Civics. The theoretical part deals with these chapters - the history of the project-based learning, what is a project, what is the project method, what is the project-based learning and the use of the project method in civic education. The analytical parts deals with a complex educational project applicable in lower-secondary school education which concentrates on selected themes from these educational units: "Human, state and economy", "Human, state and legal system" and "International relations, global world". The project was applicated at lower secondary school and it is evaluated in accordance with methodological principles of action research.

Homelessness is a serious problem which noticeably affects all dimensions of human life. This phenomenon relates primarily to cities and their inhabitants take specific stands on homelessness, which are positive or negative. The aim of this bachelor work is to describe attitudes of school-age children to homelessness. In theoretical section I will try to give as precise definition of homelessness as possible. I will deal with its reasons, I will describe how homeless people live and I will focus on facilities, which help these people (night shelters, low-threshold facilities, reception centres etc.). In the practical part I will try to clarify which stands schoolchildren take on this issue. I will try to make an analysis by means of quantitative research, specifically via questionnaires at schools.

The mentioned pandemic period means the term from March 1, 2020, when the first Czech patient was tested positively, until August 31 of last year. The aim of the theoretical part is to present the political activism itself, individual types of collective behaviour, to describe the strategic protest repertoire and a view of symbolic instruments. The empirical part provides an analytical and systematic capture of collective action in the Czech Republic during pandemic. For that, protest events analysis was chosen as a methodological tool. In an effort to capture the pattern of contention politics...
