Qualitative research games of childen in the kindergarten

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the topic of children's games in the kindergarten. Objective of the thesis was to establish what games and toys are used by the children in the kindergarten, how the children communicate when playing and what emotions the children express. The theoretical part contains the development theories concerning the preschool age focused mainly on cognitive development and on development of the gender identity. The thesis also discusses socialization of the child and method of its communication. In conclusion of the theoretical part the attention is paid to emotions, mainly to the theories of emotions and to the emotional intelligence. The methodological part summarizes the research methods applied in the thesis, namely: qualitative research, grounded theory, coding, observation and semi-structured interview. The practical part familiarizes with results and outcomes of observation of children when playing in the kindergarten.
