The development of Islamic banking in Great Britain with focus on Al Rayan Bank

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of Islamic banking in Great Britain with a particular focus on Al Rayan Bank. Islamic finance has become more relevant in the Muslim countries, however, it is also increasingly present in the western financial structures. Although the process is still in its infancy, it is possible to observe specific differences among the countries. Great Britain is (to some extent together with Luxembourg) characterized as a country with the most developed market of Islamic financial products on the continent. The development in the country has been going on since the late 70s and early 80s and it has been affected by many factors. One of its most essential milestones was the establishment of the first wholly Islamic bank in Europe named Islamic Bank of Britain (later renamed to Al Rayan Bank) in 2004, which concentrates on retail market. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to observe this unprecedented development and to identify circumstances and elements that contributed to it. In addition, the importance of the above mentioned institution both to the sector and the entire country is evaluated. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The Comparison of education system of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and in the Netherland

This bachelor thesis focuses on the educational training and background of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The theoretical part deals with the development of interpreting, presenting the specifics of the political and social events affecting the education of sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. It continues by examining the education requirements of sign language interpreters and how these are recognized in the legislation of those states. It aims to inform the reader about the current system of basic education for sign language interpreters, on how to support emerging sign language interpreters, and finally describes the system of lifelong learning sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The research part, aims to establish the level of satisfaction of sign language interpreters with their current system of education. Based on the data from the survey. It proposed possible solution to how to support the education for sign language interpreters in the Czech Republic.
Business plan for providing interpreting services to deaf people in Carlsbad Region in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis focuses on the current situation in interpreter services for deaf in Carlsbad region in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of diploma thesis aims to inform the reader about the terminology, language, another communication code and the number of deaf people in the Czech Republic. I present the information I have gathered about the deaf community. The goal of the diploma thesis is to create the business plan for interpretation services for the deaf community for the year 2019. After studying documents from the national organization I describe the current situation in the Carlsbad region with interpreter services for the deaf. The surveys aim is to interview doctors from otorhinolaryngology and foniatry in the Carlsbad region. The interviews focus on the communication needs of people with hearing impairment and the information doctors have about interpretation services in the region. Based on the data from the research I did, I found out the exact number of interpretation services for deaf in the region. Unfortunately from the documents I was not able to find out the exact number of deaf clients in the Carlsbad region.
