The Ecochemistry Games

Diploma work deals with the opportunities of using the games at teaching of ecochemistry at the primary school. The method of game is described generally in the work including the system of curriculum documents. The compiled summary of the education games with the ecochemistry themes is introduced in the experimental part of the work. Effectiveness the games has been verified by practised investigation and its results ratified hypothesis that by means of games we can achieve more affictive and longer results with ecochemistry teaching. This summary can be used by teachers as the inspiration for not only chemistry lessons activities. The image of lifestyle in magazine Vlasta between 1990 and 1999

This diploma thesis "The Image of Lifestyle in Magazine Vlasta between 1990 and 1999" is focusing on media image of lifestyle in the nineties in Czechoslovakia, later Czech republic. The subjects which were investigated in terms of a lifestyle were: housing, fashion, health, eating, weight loss, sport, traveling, new technologies, consumer goods and beauty. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part there is a political, historical, cultural and media environment in nineties. Empirical part describes a history and editorial staff of the magazine Vlasta. A content analysis was chosen for examining the magazine and it is described in methodological part. The goal of a quantitative and qualitative analysis is to prove stated hypotheses. The nineties meant for Czech people a lot of social changes and also everyday life was affected. The transformation involved habits and interests of people which can be observed during the decade. This diploma thesis is focusing on changes in lifestyle because of commercialism. Observes how much more people were interested in traveling considering new possibilities and aims also on health lifestyle.

Media image of Barack Obamaˇs prezidential campaign in dailies Mladá fronta and Hospodářské noviny

This Bachelor thesis, entitled, "Media image of Barack Obama's presidential campaign in the dailies Mlada Fronta and Hospodarske noviny", examines the presentation of an Afroamerican politician during the primary and general American Presidential election period. It covers the peak primary election campaign and the finish of that campaign, and the start of the general election in 2008. The articles and reports published in the selected period and pursued this theme at length, were subsequently processed by the method of qualitative analysis. The goal is to show Barack Obama's exact media image as presented by both dailies, and this thesis also focuses on whether the coverage of the democratic candidate was aimed primarily at presenting him as an Afroamerican. An important resource for research was media theory that deals with the way the media shows ethnic and national minorities. The object was therefore to study the stereotypical view of the group and when describing Barack Obama based on racial stereotypes. In conclusion is outlined the resulting media image of the Democratic candidate, and is specifically pointed out the errors made by the media in describing Barack Obama. International volunteering in Czech Republic - experience of Czech volunteers and organisations

Práce se skládá ze dvou částí - teoretické a praktické. V první kapitole teoretické části se zabývám definicí základních pojmů, které je nutné si vymezit. Zmiňuji se také o Mezinárodním roku dobrovolníků, který byl důležitým mezníkem a velmi napomohl k přijetí zákona o dobrovolnické službě u nás. Druhá kapitola pojednává stručně o historii dobrovolnictví na území České republiky. 7 Za nejdůležitější část své diplomové práce považuji kapitolu třetí. Tato část mapuje nabídku různých organizací a dává tak konkrétní představu o tom, jaké typy projektů nyní existují v České republice. Byla bych velmi ráda, kdyby právě tato kapitola mohla sloužit jako inspirace pro zájemce o dobrovolnou práci v zahraničí, pomohla jim se zorientovat na trhu. Zároveň tento přehled může sloužit i samotným organizacím, které zde naleznou podněty např. pro rozšíření své nabídky, pro zlepšení svých projektů. Poslední kapitola teoretické části popisuje program Evropské dobrovolné služby. Tato kapitola vychází z mé osobní zkušenosti a v její druhé části můžete naleznout podrobnější popis průběhu projektu, kterého jsem se v loňském roce zúčastnila. Domnívám se, že je to jeden z vhodných způsobů, jak přiblížit realitu zahraničních projektů. V praktické části jsem provedla šetření, jehož hlavním cílem je zmapovat zkušenosti jak českých...
