Using 5G-IoT Networks for Portable Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Mikulášek, Michal ; Jablončík, Lukáš ; Mašek, Pavel
The transition to electric vehicles (EV) as part of corporate fleets poses challenges for monitoring and reimbursing home charging activities. This paper explores the application of Internet of Things (IoT) networks to facilitate the use of portable EV charging stations by employees for home charging of corporate vehicles. The core objective is to enable precise reporting of the energy consumed during home charging sessions directly to employers, ensuring accurate compensation and energy usage tracking. This article looks at the theoretical and practical assessment of whether 5G-IoT networks are suitable for this particular case. An experimental setup was established, deploying a portable EV charging station integrated with 5GIoT connectivity to test its effectiveness in real-world residential settings under varying radio conditions. The experiment focuses on assessing the reliability of data transmission, usability in home conditions, and user experience in interfacing with the charging infrastructure. Results demonstrate the feasibility of using 5GIoT networks for this application, highlighting the potential for seamless, efficient, and secure communication between portable charging stations and corporate monitoring systems. The paper also identifies potential challenges, such as network coverage in residential areas and the challenges in device design.

Goryl, Juraj ; Paluřík, Pavel (oponent) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with creating a laboratory task integrated into the subject of "Communication Systems for IoT." The first part of the thesis consists of familiarizing oneself with the issues of the IQRF network, its topology, and the network’s capabilities. The thesis compares IQRF technology with other IoT technologies commonly used in this field. The practical part of the thesis comprises the design of a module for the IQRF transmitter TR-72DA in the form of a mini PCIe card. Another part of the thesis deals with establishing communication with the BPC-IoT board using the SPI bus, with temperature measurement used as an example. The final part of the thesis is the assignment for the actual laboratory task. The appendices also include schematics and source code of programs for both the BPC-IoT board and the IQRF transmitter.
Using mesh networks for control of charging stations
Šándor, Matúš ; Dvořák, Radim (oponent) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
Nowadays, electric vehicles are gaining attention all over the world. As a promising alternative for existing combustion engines and emission problems. The basic prerequisite for the use of an electric car is the charging of accumulators. Therefore, parallel to the introduction of electric cars, the development of the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is also expanding. New electric car models also come with new charging technologies that, unlike conventional fuel filling stations, operate on several levels. From a regular home outlet or a small charging station to public multi-standard fast charging points. The aim of the work is to create an overview of charging station management options. Next, the creation or selection of the correct protocol for reliable management of charging stations and a stable network topology, and finally, summarizing all the documents, a model of the network connection of charging stations was created, on which the necessary load measurements were subsequently carried out during the transmission of various data for the selected control protocols.
Efficient use of renewable energy sources in a residential building
Burčo, Matúš ; Paluřík, Pavel (oponent) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an optimization algorithm for an energy management system in apartment buildings. The thesis analyzes current technological solutions for smart home energy management, including open-source and commercial systems. It further considers the use of containerization technologies for the implementation of the algorithm in practice. The second chapter focuses on renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and hydro power and discusses methods for their efficient integration into energy systems. The third chapter describes specific system elements, such as photovoltaic panels and battery storage, in the context of a residential building. The fourth chapter describes the development of the optimization algorithm, its testing and integration with data collection and visualization platforms. The aim of the thesis is to show how the system can be used to make efficient use of the available energy resources and thus reduce the energy costs of the building.
Optimising the use of renewable energy sources by controlling home technologies
Bolf, Marek ; Mikulášek, Michal (oponent) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
Initially, this thesis is devoted to the analysis of methods of efficient energy management and the analysis of renewable energy sources. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on detailing the design of an optimization algorithm that schedules and distributes the flow of electricity in the home. The effectiveness of the algorithm has been computationally demonstrated using data collected from days in the past. This algorithm is also aimed at communicating with other devices in the home. In this paper, the algorithm is explained verbally, with diagram and calculations. Subsequently, the type of control unit has been selected.
Linux distribution for smart building gateway
Nagy, Tomáš ; Komosný, Dan (oponent) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
The goal of the thesis was to create a Linux distribution for a smart home gateway. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part dealt with the analysis of the Linux operating system. Subsequently, single board computers are described and compared. In the next part, the gateway issues, communication protocol selection and application containerization are discussed. As a result of addressing the issue, a procedure for adding tools for home automation, the construction of scripts that automate this issue and instructions for their proper execution were proposed.

Error correction methods in optical transmission system
Burčo, Matúš ; Ružička, Michal (oponent) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
The bachelor thesis deals with a design of an optical transmitter system and subsequent detection methods and errors correction that occured during the process. A part of the thesis is making an acquaintance with transmission parameters in optical fiber, such as transmission rate, attenuation, dispersion and bandwith. Hamming’s and Reed-Solomon’s correction codes are described in detail, wich are then used for error correction in the proposed optical transmitter system. A program is designed for Hamming’s code that is able to detect and correct occurred error in transmision. The thesis also includes measurement of attenuation on the optical path using various transmitters, recievers and optical fibers.
