Assessment the impact of the application of excavated sediments from the dam Luhačovice on the content of risk elements in arable soil
Kratěnová, Pavla ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Řezáčová, Veronika (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on an issue concerning an excavated sediment application on an arable soil and its impact on the soil quality based on a particular case of a deposition of the sediment from the dam Luhačovice on an adjacent agricultural area. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on a soil and sediment characteristics and functions, contained risk elements, sampling methods, determination possibilities of particular risk elements and a description of conditions which emerged from a need for the deposition of sediment obtained during scavenging of the dam Luhačovice. In the experimental part was described the process of sampling, samples processing and determining of concentration values for chosen risk elements (Cd, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb) using flame or electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry methods. This part also contains an evaluation of obtained results and a validation of an approval for the sediment deposition.
Application of preconcentration/separation techniques for the determination of platinum in the environment by atomic spectrometry
Kosárová, Hedvika ; Čelechovská, Olga (referee) ; Komendová, Renata (advisor)
This thesis deals with optimization of conditions for the determination of platinum by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. The theoretical part describes the occurrence of platinum in different part of the environment, its physical and chemical properties, transport and bioavailability. There is also evaluated appropriate method for determination and preconcentration of platinum. The experimental part describes advance of optimize the measurement conditions for ETA-AAS, further is describes optimization of condition for SPE and work with real samples on which are applied this conditions.
Spectrophotometric determination of Chromium(III) with organic reagents
Nevrlá, Jana ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Sommer, Lumír (advisor)
The theoretical part of this master’s thesis is mainly focused on the physical and chemical properties of chromium, its toxicity and possibility of entering of various forms of chromium into the environment. There are also described the most common analytical methods for determination of chromium in water, including ways of modification and preconcentration water samples. The aim of experimental part is the optimalization and assessing the conditions spectrophotometric determination of Cr(III) by selected organic reagents (chromazurol S, eriochromcyanine R, 4-(2-thiazolylazo)resorcinol) and their comparison with the determination of total chromium, as Cr(III), using atomic absorption spectrometry with electrothermic atomization. The analytical procedure for spectrophotometric determination of chromium with chromazurol S, which was found to be most suitable and ET-AAS, were applied to real water samples.
Indirect spectrophotometric determination of fluoride on the base of zirconium complexes
Šilerová, Iva ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Sommer, Lumír (advisor)
The objective of this study was the calculation and optimalization methods of the indirect spectrophotometric determination of fluoride based on the zirconium complex. Three organic reagent eriochromcyanin R chromazurl S and xylenol orange were tested. As the most sensitive system was shown the complex of zirconium with xylenol orange. Linear standard curve was ranged from 1,5.10-6 to 7,5.10-5 mol.dm-3. H2PO4-, Fe3+ and the highest concentrations of Fe2+, SO42- were tested for interferent. The Fe2+ and SO4- interfere only above the concentration which cannot be found in natural water. The optimized method was applied for the determination of fluoride in the model and real drinking, mineral and surface water.
Monitoring of water and sediments contamination after uranium ore mining
Kurfürst, Vlastimil ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Čáslavský, Josef (advisor)
This paper deals with the monitoring of water contamination and sediments in the area of Olší - Drahonín. Firstly, the water contamination released into the river Hadůvka is evaluated. Secondly, the sediments in the river are monitored and the surface water flow is evaluated. Finally, the water treatment technology and sampling is described. A description of the separation methods and choice of standard methods is outlined.
Fluorimetric Determination of Scandium
Holubová, Zuzana ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Sommer, Lumír (advisor)
The submitted thesis deals within the sensitive fluorimetric determination of scandium with a new reagent 8-Hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid. All important factors such as time, pH, reagent concentration, buffers, surfactants and selected interferents have been studied with respect to the selectivity, sensitivity, precision and detection limit on the determination by using classic fluorescence spectra and their first derivation. This reagent was also used for the determination of scandium in real waters. The new reagent was shortly compared to morin and lumogallion when used for scandium.
Classification of material used for the construction of garden ponds
Sýkora, Jiří ; Repková, Martina (referee) ; Komendová, Renata (advisor)
This thesis deals with the study of the occurrence forms of inorganic phosphorus in water garden ponds and used material impact on the amount of releasable amount of phosphorus in the form of phosphates in the water medium. The practical part of this work focuses on the analysis and subsequent classification of building materials for the production of garden ponds just by releasing ability of phosphorus in the form of phosphates in the water.
Tin and its compounds in the environment
Ježek, Stanislav ; Kosárová, Hedvika (referee) ; Komendová, Renata (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the actual elaboration literature search concerning the issue tin in the environment. It includes chemical and physical properties, occurrence and tin cycle in the environment. It also contains possible methods for extraction and determination of tin and its compounds.
Phosphorus and its compounds in the environment
Lefnerová, Marcela ; Řezáčová, Veronika (referee) ; Komendová, Renata (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deal with problems of phosphorus in waters, mainly in garden pond. This thesis analyse phosphorus attributes, forms of occurrence and negative effect in excessive occurrence. Next part is concentrate on common methods for remove phosphorus from water and methods of determination in waters and soils. For thesis on important mainly chapter about mobile analyse. Last part deals directly with bathing ecological ponds and Union of founding and maintenance of green. This part occupy with goals this union and introduction of control of materials, mainly from point of view of volume of phosphorus infuse to pond water.
Issues of boron in water
