POLISH DANCE STAGE IN 1990´
Puchowska, Sara Maria ; Wiesner, Daniel (advisor) ; Gremlicová, Dorota (advisor) ; Kazárová, Helena (referee)
This thesis deals with Polish dance scene?s situation after 1989. It?s dedicated mainly to three artistic canters: Greater Theatre in Warsaw ? National Opera which is most likely concentrated on classic technique, Polish Dance Theatre ? Ballet Poznanski, which in turn is a contemporary group and Studio Buffo where musical and dance exhibitions are presented.
The mentioned period was chosen because that?s the moment right after the fall of communism and when times were changing significantly. Yet another reason is lack of written information about those times

Phenomenon - Prague Chamber Ballet
Holánková, Lucie ; Němečková, Elvíra (advisor) ; Gremlicová, Dorota (referee)
My graduation theses is focused on the summary of facts and data in the
life-story of Prague chamber ballet and also its predecessor
Ballet Prague. This phenomenal ballet company plays an important role in
the history of the Czech dance art, despite of the fact that the conditions
for its existence have always been on the very edge of sustainability. It
is hard to believe that in spite of the essential lack of financial
security the company could manage to stay high on the top of our art scene with honour and its own high standard character for 33 years and was able to represent czech culture abroad. It obviously is the merit of Pavel Šmok, the artistic director and chief choreographer of this "nomadic"
chamber ballet company. One part of my theses contains also a
questionnaire that tries to answer what is the opinion on the current status of PKB. Unfortunately, it looks like there are not many people left with a belief in its future. But my belief is that this company will get over its crisis years.
