Aero Engines for Aircraft up to 2000 kg
Loutocký, Jiří ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor project was created like database of certified aircraft engines for aircraft with 450 - 2000 kg of weight. It is divide into four parts. Each part contains another conception of comparison. First part comprises of list of worldwide successful manufacturers and their products. Second part ranks engines by type of fuel transfer to combustion chamber and charge pressure. Third part compares engines with similar power in tables and in graphs. (Class 100, 200 and 300 horse power). Last part solves selection of most optimal engine in classes 100, 200 and 300 horse power.
Utilizability of civil aircraft anti-collision systems by unmanned aircraft
Batelka, Marek ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
This thesis explain today and future technologies of air traffic collision avoidance systems and of its utilizability by unmanned aircraft. The first part describes the UAVs and their categorization. Next part deals with the legislative requirements for their operation. The main part deals with TCAS, ADS-B, FLARM and others that are now used in civil aviation as a key technology to avoid a collision. The last part describes the UAV systems with a focus on the actual sensors used in systems for unmanned aerial vehicles for collision avoidance. The whole work deals with issues of development of collision avoidance systems and summarizes the current technology with a view to its possible application in the near future.
The issue of implementation of Continuous descent approach and impact on airspace capacity
Zouhar, Jakub ; Vosecký, Slavomír (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on the continuous descent approach procedure and its impact on the airspace capacity. The first part is devoted to the theoretical description of the procedure and the assessment of the current situation in implementation of continuous descent approach at the European airports. The impact on the airspace capacity is demonstrated by a detailed analysis of the procedure application at Praha – Ruzyně airport. The aim of the analysis is to define critical areas that have to be solved before permanent application of the procedure. In the following chapters there are presented possible solutions of conflict spots in the current operational environment and in the future after implementation of 4D trajectory concept as well. The last part is focused on the application of continuous descent approach at Praha – Ruzyně airport after the construction of a parallel runway.
Aviation meteorological data
Tarasovičová, Nikola ; Krška, Karel (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This master thesis emphasizes the importance of aviation meteorological data for flight planning and for making inflight strategic decisions. It describes conventional ways of obtaining meteorological data before and during the flight. It provides the overview of alternative ways of acquiring weather related information. The master thesis compares how hazardous meteorological phenomena - thunderstorms, turbulence and icing - are displayed within the described commercial products.
Analysis of flow and volume of air traffic in the Czech Republic
Niče, Tomáš ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes analysis of flow and volume of air traffic in the Czech Republic considering domestic and internartional transport. Then charakterize factors which affect transport performace in air transport. In the end of this bachelor thesis is also described excepted development of air transport in the future.
Throttleable hybrid rocket engines for precise aerospace manoeuvres
Kříž, Tomáš ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Mašek, Jakub (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe current knowledge of hybrid rocket propulsion. Thesis describes the development of hybrid rocket engine, including its precise description of the engine. Afterwards there is chapter of important engine components, including the main requirements for these components. The distribution of fuels and oxidants is an essential part of the thesis, including a description of selected fuels and oxidants and their environmental burden. There is also comparison between these engines and commonly use ones, including its definitions. Last but not least, there is overview of companies that are dedicated to hybrid propulsion. Conclusion is devoted to the estimation of future development of hybrid propulsion.
Design of Light Unmanned Reconnaissance Aircraft
Kadidlo, Miroslav ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Doupník, Petr (advisor)
The Thesis solves design of light unmanned reconnaissance aircraft carrying 3 kg payload. Based on statistical research chooses the field of long endurance flights, trying to manage problem via solar powered batteries. Difficulities and advantages of this issue are researched and optimal aircraft setup is discussed.
Single lever control system of piston engine with propeller
Gröger, Roman ; Cäsar, Tomáš (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the description of the work of aircraft piston power plants and single-lever control systems. The first part describes the characteristics of piston engines and their indicators. The second part describes the work of piston engines with variable-pitch propeller. The third and fourth part deals with single-lever control systems of piston power plant, their comparison and possible problems of their control.
Effect of volcanic ash to Air Transport
Soukop, Robin ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the issue of volcanic ash as a complex and its impact on aviation, including the volcanic activity itself (conditions for its existence, for existence of eruptions and their basic products). In addition, the thesis also deals with effect of volcanic ash on aircraft and airports, possibilities of its detection or monitoring as well as mechanism of its spreading in airspace. The emphasis is laid mainly on air incidents related to volcanic ash and on danger it poses to the airspace of the Czech Republic.
Brake system of small airplane with tail gear
Kubičár, Dávid ; Cäsar, Tomáš (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to design a braking system for ultralight aircraft. The introductory part of this work is focused on a research study of brake systems and their possible control, in terms of advantages and disadvantages for a given type of aircraft, as well as in terms of ergonomically appropriate arrangement of controls pedals. The theoretical part also includes the analysis of the load pressure during the landing of the aircraft and the distribution of hydraulic fluids used in the brake system. In the second, practical part, the work focuses on a new design of the brake pedal, as well as on the calculation of the aircraft load during landing and the determination of the maximum braking force at which there is no risk of the aircraft tipping over.
