Assessment of minimal night-flows in the water supply systems
Zvejška, Tomáš ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with minimum night flows issue. Basic findings about minimum night flows were summarized in the introductory part of thesis. Findings like the minimum night flow components, affecting parameters and used methodologies for assessment of minimal night flows. In the practical part of this thesis was this knowledge applied to real water distribution system in the municipality Hrádek u Sušice. The part of this thesis was also determinate the measurement accuracy of used water meter, which was formerly installed at the outlet in the Hrádek water tank. Measurement errors was determinate for the flow values, that are close to the real measured minimum night flow data in the water distribution system in municipality Hrádek u Sušice.
Testing of Unmeasured Flow Reducer equipment
Matoška, Martin ; Ševčík, Jiří (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The master´s thesis describes the basic information on the reporting of water losses. Means and methods to reduce water losses. Devices used to monitoring water supply, or detect malfunctioning of water supply line. Describes and evaluates the functionality of UFR on the laboratory model.
Technical Audit of Water Distribution Network
Haman, Michal ; Ručka, Jan (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic the assessment of the technical condition of water supply networks. Part of the work is a case study that evaluates the technical condition of the water supply network in the city district Brno-Lisen. The work describes in detail how the pressure zones and selected water mains evaluated. The output is an Excel application, which can be set according to technical indicators carry out an evaluation of the technical condition of the individual pressure zones.
Benchmarking of water utilities in Czech Republic
Fogl, Jiří ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with comparative analysis of performance indicators of selected water supply companies in the country. The first part is a brief introduction to the issue of benchmarking for water companies. In the second part are basic and supplementary indicators for selected water companies, analysis of selected companies, including historical development. In this work are processed data from 2011 to 2014.
Evaluation of Operation and Maintenance Activities in Some Water Utility
Štěpán, Ondřej ; Mgr. Petr Kavalír, Ph.D (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of reports about operations of water infrastructure of the company of VS Chrudim, as. This company provided the reports for the years 2008-2012. The main purpose of this thesis is the analysis of these reports and propositions of modifications, particularly in the evaluation of the technical condition of water mains and assessment of the reports as a basis for a financing plan for recovery.
Analysis of Water Consupmtion in Campus of FAST VUT Brno
Fogl, Jiří ; Menšík, Miroslav (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the analysis of water consumption in the area of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology. The main part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the measured data, which are recorded using a data logger located on the VF2 billing water meter. The processing of consumption curves is focused on individual working days, for days with or without instruction. From the results of the individual analyzes, maximum hourly limits are set for signaling of undesirable sampling states. In the end, the Smart Water Meters principle is introduced in the Czech Republic and abroad and a technical solution for the replacement of all billing water meters in the FAST area with new smart meters has been made.
Analysis of Water Consumpion in Faculty of Civil Enginering Campus
Nedoma, Tomáš ; Ručka, Jan (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis will conduct an analysis of water consumption on the premise of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. There will be a condition surfy of all billing and secondary water meters in the area of faculty evaluation of design options and automatic data collection on these meters. As a further assessment will be made of the current fading status data from water meter installed in the premise sof the Faculty. Own water meter fading using appropriate datalogger including datermination of the average specific consumption per employee, student or other special purpose units. The last point of the thesis will investigace the possibilities for remote measurements with continuous monitoring and data transmission to the internet.
Risk Analysis for Intermittent Water Supply Systems
Alayoubi, Mzayan ; Říha, Jaromír (referee) ; Munka,, Karol (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
Intermitted Water Supply strategy is implemented commonly in some developing countries nowadays in order to minimize the water scarcity problems. Unstable hydraulic conditions in the distribution system, low pressure, high risk of water contamination, wasting water, rising costs paid by consumers and water providers, failures and problems with consumption metering and inconvenience to consumers are some of the consequences. Risk Analysis Methodology is developed to handle with intermittent water supply systems in developing countries conditions that include undesired events identification; risk estimation and risk evaluation and reduction plan, the catalogue list of potential undesired events (UE) which may occur in these types of systems have been also developed using the HAZard and OPerability technique (HAZOP). The developed methodology is implemented and tested in this research on one of the potential undesired events UE _ Low operational pressure
Comparison of energy consumption and the technical condition of water supply pumping stations
Krupa, Filip ; Ručka, Jan (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with technical and energetical audits. First part is devoted to an actual status of issues in the Czech Republic and foreign countries. There is also discribed the methodics of rating developed in ÚVHO FAST Brno. These methodics applies to a technical and particulary an energetical status of selected local water infrastructure. These methodics in practical part are tested during the audit ČS Žebetín and Líšeň which profess Brněnské vodovody a kanalizace a.s. and ČS Lužná, which profess VaK Vsetín a.s.. The final part od the thesis includes suggestion of index. This index would rate an energetical status of ČS and subsequently an application in selected ČS.
Evaluation of water losses for the selected pressure zone of the city of Brno
Konečný, Pavel ; Dvořák,, Pavel (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
Water losses indicate the amount of water leaked out of the water distribution systém. Loss monitoring is one of the basic obligations of operators. Their size points to technical states and network operations, and at the same time is decisive for returns on future investment. Loss reports have recently recorded several changes. Values that describe the amount of unique leakage are continuously more often being used with traditional percentage data on losses related to the overall volume of supplied water.
