Respondents were asked to express their confidence or non-confidence to some main figures of international policy and persons involved in recent important events, including both main candidates of oncoming presidential election in the U.S., as well as supreme representatives of Central European countries.

According to September survey of CVVM SOÚ AV ČR 67 % of Czech citizens did not agree with planned deployment of U.S. anti-missile radar in Czech Republic, on the other hand 28 % of respondents would approve it. 68 % respondents expressed their opinion that this question should be decided in a referendum, 25 % of Czechs disagreed with holding a plebiscite in this matter. People who are against the referendum are for the most part supporters of idea to locate the U.S. anti-missile radar in Czech Republic.

June survey of CVVM was dealing with a situation related to recent unilateral declaration of independence of Serbian province of Kosovo and with diplomatic recognition of independent Kosovo by the government of Czech Republic. 30 % of Czech citizens agree with the May decision of Topolanek's government to recognize Kosovo as an independent state, 31 % disagrees and 39 % is undecided in this matter.

In April survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR examined how Czech citizens see the financial situation of their households. They evaluated whether it is difficult to manage with their earnings, but also talked about attitudinal feeling of poverty. The survey also investigated whether it is difficult to meet some life requirements such as foodstuff, clothes and shoes, housing, water and energy, furniture, common non-food products, cultural and sport activities, health care and education. Results of the survey were compared with previous surveys.

In March and April more than three fifths (65 % in March, 63 in April) of Czech citizens did not agree with planned deployment of U.S. anti-missile radar in Czech Republic, on the other hand llightly over a quarter (28 % in March, 29 % in April) of respondents would approve it. Seven of ten respondents expressed their opinion that this question should be decided in a referendum, a fifth of Czechs disagreed with holding a plebiscite in this matter. In March survey CVVM investigated Czech public's views with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in Czech Republic. 80 % of Czechs think that incomers should have had the right to stay here in the long term under some conditions, 9 % would support this right with no restricting conditions and only 8 % said that foreigners should not have any right to stay in the long term in Czech Republic. 42 % of citizens agree that Czech Republic should allow incomers to stay here permanently, 51 % disagree with that. 68 % think it is okay to employ foreigners in Czech Republic, 25 % claim the opposite.
Czech Public on Kosovo

March survey of CVVM was dealing with a situation related to recent unilateral declaration of independence of Serbian province of Kosovo. In retrospect just 19 % of Czechs agree with NATO’s bombing of Yugoslavia nine years ago, 49 % disagree and 32 % are undecided. 34 % of citizens approve Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence, 36 % oppose it. According to 36 % of respondents Czech government should have recognized Kosovo diplomatically, 34 % are against official recognition of Kosovo's independence. 46 % of Czech think that unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo will lead to new armed conflict in Balkans, 58 % agree that the event will serve elsewhere as a precedent to other minorities with secessionist agenda.
