Hušnerová, Eliška ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Šára, Pavel (referee)
The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to design and create a thematic Atlas of military districts in the Czech republic, including a map key. A sub-objective is to perform an analysis of the portrayal of military districts in the Czech republic on maps of the Stable Cadastre, the 3rd military mapping, aerial photographs from the 1950s and the current orthophoto. At the beginning of the thesis, a literature search on military districts is carried out, which is a necessary starting point for the creation of the thematic part of the Atlas of military districts in the Czech republic. It also includes a description of the functioning military districts of Boletice, Březina, Hradiště and Libavá, focused on history, natural conditions and current military use of the territory. The next part is devoted to the analysis of portrayal of military districts on old maps and aerial photographs. In the practical part of the thesis, methods of creating the atlas are described, which is followed by a discussion and conclusions, where the results of the thesis are summarized and possible improvements and extensions are discussed. Water on the maps of our country from 16.-17. century
Hlaváčková, Vanda ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Bayer, Tomáš (referee)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to perform a content analysis of the management of old map works and then, based on the results of the analysis, to design and create a web map application for the presentation of the results. In the beginning of the thesis, important terms related to the topic are introduced, followed by the methodology of content analysis of old maps. Individual old maps are also presented, namely Klaudyán's map of Bohemia from 1518, Criginger's map of Bohemia from 1568 and Aretin's map of Bohemia from 1619, including a brief biography of their authors. Based on the information obtained from the previous chapters, the content analysis itself was carried out. Its results are discussed in the discussion of the work. As part of the practical part, based on content analysis, a web map application was designed and created, showing the guidance of old maps in vector form over current map documents. Insights and information resulting from the analysis are also included. Keywords: old map, map analysis, Klaudyan map, Criginger map, Aretin map, ArcGIS Online
Design of a web map application for visualization and collection of spatial data
Thám, Václav ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a web map application in the Nečtiny locality using GIS. Other sub-goals are to analyze the tools used to create web map applications for specific uses. Specifically, to analyze Leaflet, OpenLayers and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder technologies, and subsequently using one of the open and one of the commercial technologies to create a web map application. In the theoretical part, both basic terms related to cartography, web cartography, WebGIS, as well as web map applications, map portals and terms related to the topic are explained. Furthermore, the technological aspects of web maps are presented, such as programming languages, source code or client-server communication. In the next chapter, individual tools are presented, both GIS software and tools for creating web map applications. The criteria that the application should meet are then set. In the practical part, an evaluation of individual technologies for the creation of web map applications is then carried out based on the criteria. The following is the key part of this work, namely the design of a web map application and subsequently its creation itself using both commercial and freely available software and tools. The output of the work is therefore two applications for the Nečtiny locality. One created...
