Universal controller for car or motorcycle dynamo
Picmaus, Jan ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of design of an electronic controller of charging for historical cars using a dynamo. It contains theoretical analysis of the machine itself (dynamo) and analysis of a shunt wound dynamo and a seperately excited dynamo. It~is also focused on possible usage of a dynamo in various vehicles. The work compares industrially produced controllers with amateur manufacture as well as confronts their positives and negatives. All requests for the implemented controller are deduced from the analysis of the industrial and amateur controllers. The thesis consists of process plan of controller connection including the final working version and also the project and realization of a PCB as well as following description of putting the controller into practice and installation in the car. The thesis includes the project of current and voltage controllers, following adjustment and operation tests with use of the real device.
Potting Compounds for Power Electronics
Štajner, David ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vašíček, Adam (advisor)
Potting compounds are often used in electrotechnics to protect the electronics from the adverse effects, improves its insulating properties and helps to improve the heat transfer from the embedded devices in the surroundings. Embedding electronics into encapsulants extend the field of application. Such electronics can then be used in wet, dusty, corrosive or otherwise harsh environments.
MIG/MAG welder with switching power supply
Klejma, Michael ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of welding power supply for MIG / MAG and MMA technique with continuous output current 120 A. The first, theoretical part is devoted to welding process technology, physical characteristics of electric arc and description of individual welding methods. The thesis also deals with the concept of power converter. The design of the switched-mode power supply is based on a full bridge topology. In order to implement advanced controls of welding power supply, the ARM Cortex M4 microprocessor was selected. Due to the large power consumption of the stepper motor for drive the welding wire, an auxiliary switched-mode power supply was also implemented. The documentation describing the realization of the welding power supply and the results of the measurements are in the last part of the thesis. The welding power supply was successfully revived and reached nominal parameters. Inert gas welding has not been tested yet, due to lack of time caused by extensive work in order to complete mechanical realization.
Converters for HVDC Energy Transmission
Martinec, Roman ; Klíma, Bohumil (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems used in the world today. The work lists the basic principles of connection between individual HVDC stations, as well as the configuration of the HVDC transmission link. In addition, the work describes the topologies of converters currently in use and also their principal semi-conductor components. In the conclusion of the thesis, the HVDC technology is assessed, including its advantages and drawbacks.
Three-phase variable autotransformer actuator
Nevřela, Tomáš ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to implement an actuator for three-phase variable autotransformer. The project includes a theoretical base of electric actuators on the basis of which is chosen the type of motor, its method of control and regulator, necessary for a specific actuator. Parts of the thesis are design and production of hardware with microprocessor, consisting of control, measurement and power part.
Three-phase low-voltage DC/AC converter for a synchronous motor AXi 5345/18
Popek, Michal ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
The target of this master's thesis is to describe, design and construct an extra low voltage three-phase DC/AC inverter for the motor AXI 5345/18, which will work in EC motor mode. The inverter is supplied by DC source 24 V. In order to save place, the wiring is designed on three separated printed board circuits. These are connected together by connectors for ribbon cables. The control is done by reverse current loop realized by active electronics and superior circuit MC 33035. The proper wiring of current loop is conformed for both control and testing of jet sensors ACS750. Power electronics of the inverter is realized by potential-free modul GWM 120-0075P3 consisted of 6 mosfet transistors. The designed wiring is not set for the concrete realisation, but it can be used for control of propulsion of the wheel, auxiliary propulsion of engine or in appliances, where servo with worse parameters of control loop is used in a sufficent way and it can be cheaper.
Li-ion traction battery 28V/40Ah for an electric bike
Bartošek, Martin ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
Thes is deals with the construction, protective circuits and lifetime of lithium ion batteries intented for powering electric bicycles. The entire battery is composed of Li-ion cells with the designation 18650 from Sanyo company, which are connected via series-parallel combination. Because of the series connection of the cells, it is necessary to add protective circuit to each cell to prevent overcharging or deep discharging, on which Li-ion cells are very sensitive. Absence of these circuits could cause irreversible damage to the entire battery pack. Life of Li-ion cells depends on many aspects. These aspects have an influence on the electric bicycle itself. They have an impact on the range and the number of charging and discharging cycles against the considerably high price of the battery.
Device for magnetic stirring of suspension with ferromagnetic particles
Zítka, Jan ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this work deals with the design and manufacture of a device for mixing of magnetic beads in solution by magnetic field. It is based on my previous bachelor thesis, where the device was created for one microtube (one sample). In this following work, the three improved variants for mixing and separation of 96 samples at one time were designed. The first variant of device, derived from functional prototype from bachelor thesis, was manufactured. First, the magnetic circuit and power converter were designed. Subsequently, the device was manufactured just for one microtube due to functionality testing. The third variant was realized only experimentally, the construction was designed in CAD program, and individual parts were created using 3D printer. As an alternative solution, which should be the compromise among electromagnetic and mechanical stirring, additional prototype was manufactured using 3D printer and CNC instrument. This prototype utilizes neodymium magnets and a stepper motor. The capability of magnetic beads mixing in solution was verified.
Power inverter with active rectifier
Dvořáček, Daniel ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Rubeš, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the principle of functions, constructions and possibilities of the control of inductions machines. There is also briefly described the issue of the power transducers from which the frequency converters are coming out, as well as is described here the process of designing of the power part of the converter.
Electrical installation in family house
Dalecký, Jan ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Ondrejček, Vladimír (advisor)
In this bachelor's thesis is analyzed electrical installation of family house. It's goal is to summarize information important for designing electrical installation and subsequently create project documentation of electrical installation of three-floor family house. First part of the bachelor's thesis is dedicated to directives and demands for realization of electrical installation, which you need to lead by when creating project documentation and then assembling it in an object. The second part is focused on creating blueprints including lightning protection, low and high current installation, designing and dimensioning switchboards and technical report.
