Materials for Supercapacitors
Dvořák, Petr ; Paidar,, Martin (referee) ; Trnková, Libuše (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This dissertation deals with the electrode materials, liquid and gel electrolytes suitable for supercapacitors. In the field of electrode materials were investigated carbon materials based on carbon blacks, expanded and micronized graphite suitable for supercapacitors working on the principle electrochemical double layer. Another area which this thesis deals with are aprotic liquid electrolytes prepared from suitable types of salts and aprotic solvents. The last part is focused on the preparation and subsequent electrochemical characterization of gel polymer electrolytes in order to increase the ionic conductivity of these electrolytes.
Gel polymer electrolytes with lower flammability
Zítka, Jan ; Musil, Michal (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This work discusses the research and development of gel polymer electrolytes and their use. It also deals with problems of characterization and optimization of technological process of polymer gel electrolytes with low flammability. Furhermore, this work deals with how to assess such electrolytes and what their properties. The main focus of work is a comparison of solvents contained in the gel polymer electrolytes and the creation of such a gel, which when compared to mechanical, electrical and physical properties will have the best results.
Design of Perovskite Photovoltaic Solar Cells and Research of their Stability
Strachala, Dávid ; Šály,, Vladimír (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The work in the first part describe the design of a perovskite photovoltaic cell with planar inverse structure using photovoltaically active material CH3NH3PbI3 and CH3NH3PbI3-xClx. The theoretical description of perovskite materials is supplemented by knowledge of degradation mechanisms reducing the resulting stability of samples and also presents a comprehensive overview of the technology development. The following text brings an innovative process for the perovskite photovoltaic cells production, which has enabled manufacturing of reproducible samples with parameters comparable to the foreign workplaces. The second part of the research analyzes the influence of the external environment to the samples and based on experimental outputs explains possible degradation mechanisms of perovskite material. At the final part of the dissertation thesis is presented and characterized unique structure of planar inversion perovskite cells with a material composition increasing the resistance against external humidity.
Low Temperature Fuel Cells H2-O2 with Anionic and Bipolar Membrane
Barath, Peter ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with investigation of the catalysts and ionexchanege membranes for fuel cells H2-O2. The work contains the basic principles of chemical reactions, thermodynamic aspects and kinetic properties in PEM fuel cells.Ion-exchagers based on fluorinated polymer sulfonic acids known as NAFION are used in most cases. These compounds are very expensive. Also a strong corrosive attribute requires platinum as a catalysator. These facts make the membrane fuel cells fully non-competetive with e.g. internal combustion engine in spite of all ecological advantages of this electrical power source. The subject of doctoral thesis is research and development of compounds for the composite electrode materials base on NiOx, Ni-Pd and Raney Ni suitable as catalysts a nd alkaline or bipolar ionexchange membranes for electrochemical fuel cells.
Electrodes materials for electrochromic devices based on V2O5
Janov, Pavel ; Macalík, Michal (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with researching electrodes materials for electrochromic device based on V2O5. The wokr is dividet into two areas – teoretical and practical part. Teoretical part is aimed at elektrochromism, deposition thin layers manely V2O5. Consenquetial part is concentrated on glass substrate covered conducted film and was set their elektrochromic point. Then was found influence subsidy these layers with sodium and observed with sample without subsidy.
Electrolyzer for hydrogen production
Kunovjánek, Miroslav ; Knotek, Tomáš (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The work is concerned with a production of hydrogen and oxygen through by the help of electrolytic process in a device called electrolyzer. The basis of the work is assurance of the best efficiency of this process by testing a variety of materials and surfaces of electrodes, and testing different types of alkalic electrolytes.
New gel electrolytes
Sumka, Martin ; Jahn, Michal (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the properties of gel polymer electrolytes, brief characteristics of other types of electrolytes and materials that are used for preparing polymer electrolytes. The thesis explains the use of the gel electrolytes in practice, the current conduction in the electrolytes and the properties of ionic liquids, and flame retardants. This thesis also focuses on methods of measurement of mechanical properties of gel polymer electrolytes. The practical part is focused on preparation of methacrylate gel electrolytes and their modifications with the use of flame retardant - triethyl phosphate (TEP) and ionic liquid - 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (Emim TFSI). In this part there are evaluations of their potential funcionality (potential window) and specific conductance conductivity using the method LSV (linear sweep voltammetry) and impedance spectroscopy. The practical part also includes a thermal analysis of selected samples by TGA, DTA and EGA methods.
Thin layer WO3 for electrochromic devices
Jakubis, Ivan ; Macalík, Michal (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
This work deals with issues of electrochromism and coating method electrodeposition. Electrochromic thin-films of tungsten oxide (WO3) have been electrodeposited on glass substrates covered with transparent conductive thin-film SnO2:F (FTO).
