Elastohydrodynamic lubrication of elliptical contacts
Hodás, Ladislav ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Hartl, Martin (advisor)
Principal intention of this thesis is comparation of given equations for minimal and central thickness of elastohydrodynamical lubricant film at elliptical contact between smooth rubbing faces in regular isothermal conditions. Thereinafter, possible approaches to assessment of thickness of lubricant film and verification of their validity via experiment are trashed out.
Lubrication of gasoline and diesel engines
Krejčí, Tomáš ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor’s thesis is describing the present state of knowledge in the sphere of compression-ignition and spark-ignition engines lubrication, lubricants and future trends. First part is about internal combustion principle, engine construction. Next parts are about engine lubrication system, lubricating modes, and its locating in the engine. Last part is about oils, and insights into the future.
Experimental study of lubricant films in contact of machine parts
Kučera, Ondřej ; Křupka, Ivan (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the description of methods for experimantal study of lubrication films in contact of machine parts, particularly for non-conformal surfaces, for which elastohydrodynamic and mixed of lubrication is typical. The methods are devided according to measured quantity into the methods for film thickness measurement, contact pressure measurement and temperature measurement. It was described the principle of these methods, the equipment, application and characteristics. Finally, evaluation of current status and further development are included.
Computational systems based on FEM for designers
Frémund, Libor ; Vaverka, Michal (referee) ; Vrbka, Martin (advisor)
This work deal with computational systems on base method final elements intended for engineer. There are descibed most often used systems, their function and included moduls that help engineer at work. Work describes four most widely used computing program - ANSYS Workbench, COSMOS DesingSTAR, Abaqus and FEMPRO. Every system is further dispersed to the subchapter, in which are circumscribed his characteristics and possibility working system. At the close are reviewed and planed individual systems and further also intended fitness using single system under given conditions.
