Splicing of special optical fibers

The aim of thesis is to design welding processes for special optical fibers. The text describes procedures of modification of the basic welding process for three types of PM fibers. For each fiber type was created specific welding process. All optimized welding processes were tested in terms of reproducibility.
Design of the method to increasing of accuracy of the tunable optical filter optical spectra measurement

The thesis deals with the method for the improvement of the measurement accuracy in the optical frequency spectra measurements based on tunable optical filters. The thesis starts with the selection of the proper optical filter that is suitable for accurate light spectrum measurement. The selected filter was then used for the design and realization of the measurement system for the inspection of the fibre Bragg gratings. The system incorporates a reference block for the compensation of environmental influences, an interferometric verification subsystem and a PC - based control software implemented in LabView. The preliminary experimental verification of the measurement principle and the measurement system functionality were carried out on a testing rig with a specially prepared concrete console in the UJV Řež. Advanced tests were conducted on nuclear power plant’s containment shape deformation measurement in Temelin.

Master's thesis deals with system for fast waveform generation and synchronous data acquistion. Part of this thesis are requirements of system, which will be gradually analysed. The result of analysis will be selection of suitable components for system and its design.
Technology of Hole Plating Process in Laboratory PCB Production

Target of this work is check a laboratory method of plated-through hole openings on printed boards circuits, making use techniques know like SHADOW process. It is use solution conductive colloid graphite to conduct walls of holes and enable galvanic electroplated cuppers to holes walls.

The subject of the „The project proposal for building an ISP network“ thesis is the analysis of a current state of internet connectivity in a city of Komarno as well as a project proposal of a new network infrastructure for an internet service provider. The analysis consists of the current state of infrastructure and a possibilities of building new ISP network infrastructure. This thesis also contains brief summary of a required technologies and a description of project management, including project risk analysis, time schedule and cost calculation.
Hollow Core Photonic Crystal Fibers

Aim of the work was to study, design and verify methods of splicing photonic crystal fibers with standard single-mode and multi-mode fibers. The main goal was to make of the fusion splicer Fujikura FSM 100P splicing process. To create splicing process, various splicing methods were tested. Method of the moving position of the arc discharge from the center of splicing fibers and the method with increased gas pressure in the microstructure were mainly tested. Research revealed the incompatibility of splicing process of the different types of fiber splicers. The main results of the work are optimized methods of the splicing HC 1550-2 fiber and SMF 28 fiber.
Laser diode soldering

This work deals with the laser diode soldering. The theoretical part summarizes general and acquired findings about soldering technology and materials that occur in this process. It also describes factors that affect the reliability of solder joints. It is closely focused to the shaping of the solder joint and structure of intermetallic layer. The practical part of this work is focused on the design of equipment for laser diode soldering and subsequent shaping of the samples. The quality of soldered joint is compared against the quality of joint created using re-flow technology - remelting in in-line smelter. The structure and thickness of the intermetallic layer, the number and shape of the voids in the solder joints are compared.
Automatic Optical Inspection

This master's thesis deals with proposal and realization of electromechanical positional system for automatic optical inspection PCB bigger proportions and solution of automatic optical inspection. Problems are dispersed into of several prime area namely on mechanical part, driving hardware and software part. In every part is performed analysis problem and choice optimal solution.
The voltammetric analysis based on electrolyte signal

The voltammetric measurements of Hetero-oligodeoxynucleotides ODNs: 5´-CCC AAA CCC- 3´, 5´-CAC CACCAC- 3´, and 5´-ACC CAC CCA- 3´ on AUTOLAB 20 (EcoChemie, The Netherlands) were analyzed with different baseline correction - linear, exponential, polynomial and with shape defined by signal of electrolyte. The best results were achieved with correction based on electrolyte and exponential shape.
Scatter plot and confidence interval

The exact definitions and standardisation are mostly missing in the area of biosignal measurement and processing. That in why the choice of the optimal method must be based on multidimensional statistical analysis. In this case the scatter plot with confidence ellipses can be used successfully.This graphical method is very simple and comprehensive. According to analysed parameters the method is two-dimensional, according to analysed groups multidimensional.
