Has altruism in decision making on the life-shortening action the same relative weight as other factors?
Procházka, Michal ; Šťastný, Daniel (advisor) ; Chytilová, Helena (referee)
When person decides on life-shortening action he compares value of current and future life with costs and benefits of this action that can be simply divided into four categories, psychological, financial, religious and altruistic. The main issue of the paper is what is the role of altruism in decision making. Decision making model used in this article is based on the model of Becker and Posner, but is modified to include all preventive and risk factors, respectively, costs and revenues. This model is interpreted for types of life-shortenitng actions, which are then compared with each other. From this comparison it follows that the altruism has in decision making rather greater relative weight.

Procházka, Martin ; Kielar, Petr (advisor) ; Noha, Michal (referee)
In my Bachelor's thesis called Comparison of the Requirements for Getting a Loan from Building Society I primarily focus on the issue, whether there is a significant difference between the requirements which a client has to fulfill in order to get a loan. In order to answer this question, I compare the level of difficulty in meeting the requirements of the tariffs which are currently being offered by the Czech building societies on the market. I also compare the tariffs with respect to their SKLV. In the first part I focus on the general introduction of building society and try to emphasize its specifics. After that I look closely at the requirements for a loan and define the terms I will be using in the rest of the paper. I further introduce the tariffs and types of clients I use for the comparison. In the next part I do the comparison of tariffs with respect to the requirements and also the value of SKLV. I came to the conclusion that the individual tariffs differ considerably from one another, especially because they are designed for different optimal regular deposits and meeting the requirements will take various amount of time. Therefore, clients should clarify their preferences and capabilities and choose the tariff that suits them best accordingly.

Arranged every five years at the initiative of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic Institute of Czech Literature, the congress brought together some 150 researchers from all over the world this year. Discussions over “otherness” in Czech literature were divided into four subject areas. In view of the anniversary of Karel Hynek Mácha’s birth in 2010, one of the proceedings was called Resonances of Mácha. The studies included in this collection focus primarily on the work of poets and prose writers whose work forms part of Mácha’s legacy and derives inspiration from him. Another way to understand the importance of Mácha’s work is offered by contributions that place it in the context of European and particularly Central European romanticism. The opportunity also presents itself to consider the influence of interpretations of his texts on the formation of Prague literary studies structuralism.
