Virtual Reality Enabled Flight Simulator

This bachelor thesis is focused on the development of a flight simulator, which uses its own simlaution core to run an aircraft dynamic model. The simulation framework cosists of a motion model, the Earth atmosphere model, aerodynamics and inertial characteristics of the aircraft and an aircraft propulsion model. The Unity 3D software was used for the simulation enviroment and user interface development. The 3D models of the cockpit and the aircraft were modeled in a student version of the 3DS Max. The presented simulator also supports the virtual reality for higher simulation autenticity and an improved sense of realism.

Aircraft Ground Operations Simulator

This bachelor thesis is focused on designing an application which simulates the aircraft ground operations on Brno-Turany airport. It introduces a physical model of the aircraft ground motion over an airport infrastructure under various weather conditions. Considering Brno-Turany airport model, the application allows for motion trajectory visualization to avoid unwanted collision scenarios. The resulting ground motion trajectory display is a suitable decision support tool for the air traffic and ground controllers.

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá modernou vizualizáciou letových dát. Obsahuje historický vývoj návrhu vizualizácie letových dát v pilotnej kabíne a súčasné trendy vizualizácie letových dát. Ďalej je v práci popísaný matematicko-fyzikálny popis lietadla, návrh vizualizácie futuristického displeja so zameraním na jednopilotnú prevádzku a jeho samotná implementácia v prostredí 3D grafického softvéru. Aplikácia je navrhnutá pre použitie v leteckom simulátore.

Automatic Event Identification from Flight Data Records

Táto bakalárska práca je zameraná na automatické spracovanie záznamov letových dát, konkrétne na identifikáciu fáz letu a zátačiek. S pomocou verejne dostupného datasetu obsahujúceho záznamy zozbierané z jedného druhu regionálneho prúdového lietadla bola vyvinutá sada niekoľkých metód pre identifikáciu týchto udalostí. Pre demonštráciu týchto metód bola vyvinutá interaktívna 3D aplikácia, ktorá intuitívne vizualizuje letové dáta a identifikované udalosti.

Meteo Probe for the Measurement of Basic Atmospheric Quantities

The bachelor thesis focuses on the problematics on basic atmosphere sounding. Its content is a study of the physical properties of the atmosphere. Based on these findings, the design and implementation of a specimen meteorological probe and ground receiving station are carried out. The meteorological probe records atmospheric data at regular intervals and stores them in CSV format. The probe continuously reports information about its position, and after completion of the measurement sends all measured data to the ground receiving station, where data evaluation and further processing takes place.

Driving School - Rules of the Road

This project is focused on the simulation of traffic rules and user interaction in a virtual scene, where it allows to examine user`s knowledge and skills in context of the traffic law and rules. The designed application is monitoring user`s activity and identifiing traffic violations caused by the user`s bad behaviour. Based on the gathered information, the user is provided with an information about the rules he/she disobeyed. This application was designed using the Unity 3D technology. 3D modeling software Blender was used for creating, texturing and assigning material properties to 3D objects used in the project.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vizualizací letových dat. Obsahuje popis matematicko fyzikálního modelu letadla, přístrojů používaných při zobrazování letových veličin a proces vývoje primálního letového displeje pro letecký simulátor. Displej je implementován s využitím jazyka C++ a grafické knihovny OpenGLTato bakalářská práce se zabývá vizualizací letových dat. Obsahuje popis matematicko fyzikálního modelu letadla, přístrojů používaných při zobrazování letových veličin a proces vývoje primálního letového displeje pro letecký simulátor. Displej je implementován s využitím jazyka C++ a grafické knihovny OpenGL.

Graphical Interface for Head-up Display

This bachelor thesis addresses the visualization of flight data. The aim of the thesis is to design and implement the visual interface of a head-up display. Emphasis is placed on using the right symbology, maintaining the clarity of the flight information and simultaneously integrating application into a flight simulator with motion platform, using virtual reality technologies.

Tato diplomová práce popisuje standardy, typy a použití leteckého systému Electronic Flight Bag. Dále se zabývá návrhem a implementací aplikace pro tablety s operačním systémem Android. Tato aplikace vychází z evropských směrnic pro piloty všeobecného letectví. Mezi hlavní vlastnosti vytvořené aplikace patří letový manuál, prohlížeč letových publikací a dokumentů, letová navigace zaměřena na uživatele, kalkulace hmotnosti a těžiště, a další interaktivní výpočty.
