The satisfaction with nursing care in clients with a physical handicap

This bachelor work addresses the issue of physically handicapped clients and their satisfaction with nursing care during hospitalisation. The introduction the theoretical part defines basic terms related to nursing care. Then there is a description of primary types of disablement - congenital and acquired, which is complemented by the most frequent illnesses. The next chapter is dedicated to an examination of the level of dependence upon other persons and the use of personal assistance services. There are many organised activities for physically handicapped persons in the Czech Republic which is why the paper includes a concise overview of organisations operating in Prague. The conclusion of the theoretical part mentions principles of communication with persons suffering from physical disabilities. The aim of the work was to gather data by means of a survey that queried a group of 52 respondents. The questionnaire's inquiries were focused on the clients' satisfaction with three areas - nursing care, equipment and accessories in a hospital room, and the medical staff's approach and attitude towards the clients. he Development of Relation towards Medical Profession with Students of Secondary Nursing School

The aim of this thesis is to describe secondary nursing school students' relation towards their profession of a nursing assistant as well as the development of their relation in the course of studies. The theory part of the thesis determines the meaning of the term relation, defines the essential factors which influence the relation towards this work, specifies the adolescent period and characterises the professional development of a person. The integral part of the thesis is also the graduate profile of this very branch. In the research part we analyzed the change in the relation towards medical profession aduring the studies at secondary nursing school. We especially took our attention to the factors which are particular for the change of this very relation towards the profession of a worker in medicine.
The nursing process in a patient with meningococcal disease

In my bachelor thesis, my main focus was on the nursing care that a patient with a meningococcus illness requires. The thesis is divided into two parts, one focuses on the the clinical part and the second one on the nursing. In the introduction, the choice of the topic is explained. The clinical part contains general anatomy and brain physiology, defines the illness, its symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, possible complications etc. In this section, all the personal data of the patient are stated, medical history and hospitalisation. The nursing part contains the nursing history based in the Gordon model, nursing diagnosis and targets of the nursing, its realisation and evaluation. The thesis also addresses the procedures the doctors use to inform patients, conclusion and prognosis. Furthermore, all the sources I used for the thesis are cited and an abbreviation list. Psychotherapy within a competence of general nurse

The topic of my bachelor project is Psychotherapy in the Competency of General Nurses At the beginning of my work the terms, general nurse, competency are explicated, furthermore the terms are concerned with patient's feeling. The work is divided into two parts: Theoretical and practical one. Psychotherapy is described in the theoretical part, both general and specific psychotherapeutic parts are available for nurses and the work with patients. In my work there is communication, such as supporting psychotherapy, its communication, however we can influence the patient positively and sometimes inverse. The practical part is processed by a kind of research. The method of the research was chosen by enquiry. Two groups of respondents answered to enquiry: The general nurses and patients. The outcome of the work is a paperback which could be explained effectively and usefully about mental site of the patient. Awareness of natural infant nutrition among pregnant women

This bachalor's theses focuses on the informedness of pregnant women in the field of natural nourishment of new-born babies and sucklings. The theoretical part is dedicated to the nourishment with mother's milk, describes the technique of breast-feeding, its advantages and most common problems including their solutions and the usage of alternative methods of feeding. It also concerns in preparation of pregnant women for breast-feeding and the role of a nurse in the support and education of breast- feeding. In the research part we investigate the rate of informedness of pregnant women about natural nourishment with mother's milk including the participation of medical workers in their informedness and factors leading women to the decision to breast-feed their children. A questionnaire of our own construction fixed for pregnant women was used for the research. The sample of investigation was created by 60 respondents from the 34th to the 40th week of pregnancy. The results of our research make clear that most women want to breast-feed their children. Their decision is supported by the fact that they consider mother's milk to be the best nourishment for a new- born baby. Assessment of quality and efficiency of education by parents and children in the Pediatric Cardiocentre of Motol Faculty Hospital

This thesis concentretes on educational issue. It points out the evaluation of quality and effectivity given by chidren hospitalized in the children's cardiocentre and by thein parents. Theoretical part characterizes basic aspects of education, personality and role the nurse carrying out the education as well as the personality of the educated person. Furthen on this thesis concentrates on on a term the quality of the nursing care. An information that is passed to children affer a correction and to their parents by nurses carring out the education were stated in another chapter. A questionnaire opportunity study was chosen for the empirical part.The questionnaire for parents and children was aimed at quality and effectivity of education. Women's awareness of cord blood importance

This bachelor's work explores a general acquaintance about umbilical blood among women. The aim of the work was to find out if women at the age of 18 - 35 know about a donor ship of umbilical blood and its possible utilization. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part there are several anatomical facts providing a better understanding and orientation in the topic given. In details a method of the taking, utilization a preserving possibility of the umbilical blood are described. Further the most frequent usage variations of the gained fragment follow and that is in the form of transplantation. The list of the often complications together with their appropriate cure is not missing. The empirical part was implemented by means of a survey. First of all necessary goals of the research and resulting hypotheses were defined. Then subsequently the questionnaire has been composed and the suitable research pattern has been chosen. More than one half of this work is formed by the individual responses set up mainly into the charts and graphs for a better orientation.
