Pavlas, Antonín ; Obrtlík,, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis aimed to create the necessary levels of project documentation – Documentation for building permission and Documentation for construction. The content of the project is a new construction of the production of branded clothing in Brno by the company Glami, which will serve primarily as the production and export of finished pieces ready for sale. The building is located in Brno-Bohunice district between Kamenice, Kejbaly and Vinohrady streets and the plat is listed as one of the Brno brownfields under number 0101. The solution should také into account changes to the Urban Plan of the City of Brno in 2021 and the surrounding buildings. One of the first goals was for the construction to complement and complete the surrounding road structure. The basic masses were situated so as to respect the road lines and thus match the surrounding roads. The building is divided into three masses separated by their functions, but interconnected for easy operation. The aim was to create a functioning building with optically separated but interconnected operations.
Multifunctional house on the Francouzská street in Brno
Vrtílek, Osvald ; Krejsová, Aneta (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The Bachelor's Thesis is based on the architectural study completed during the second year of the bachelor's studies. Its aim was to design an apartment building with second use by my choice. I've chosen a commercial spaces – a small space for store on the ground floor and a versatile studio on the top floor. On the other floors there are four single flat units with a loggy and a balcony, two bedrooms and spacious common room. Every flat has a cellar in a basement. Versitale studio offers facillities for artists or offices. It contains one big room with multifunctional use with an extensive roof terrace with a view into neighbourhood. The shop spaces are located to the first floor and has a entrance right form the street. Nowadays offers a lot of possibilities to use such small spaces enriched by a store and staff facilities. The building is located in the centre of Brno on the Francouzská street, which connects with Milady Horákové street. Currently there is a single-storey building, that replaced a former apartment building. Because of that, there became a gap site between other multi-storey buildings. The design tries to keep the principles of surrounding buildings by its form. This is guaranteed by the external spaces of each flat and by following the frontage line – the building reacts to it by its form of gentle curve on its facade.

Růžičková, Tereza ; Cahel, Tomáš (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis was prepared on the basic of an earlier study in the subject AG32. This bachelor’s thesis develops study further into the level Building permit documentation and Documentation for execution of the project. The main theme of this work is the Kindergarten in Brno. The proposed kindergarten is located in the city centre of Brno, on Údolní Street. The land is bordered by a frequented road from the north side and the park Obilní trh, on the south side of the land the relief gradually rises to Špilberk Castle. The main idea was to create a kindergarten object and an ideal space for children’s upbringing and movement. The shape of the building reacts to the surrounding area. On the north side is only the entrance to the building and the school’s operational base. The main room of the school (the games room and the dining room) opens to the south side into the garden which goes further into the slope. The west wing of the building is extended to the slope and the construction continues to the original terrain and it’s possible to cross to the slope of the roof of the building. Roof is designed as a vegetation roof. The overall appearance of the building is of a natural character. It’s made of a wooden facade vertical tile. Only at the entrance to the building and on the other side of the building near garden are designed colour rotating lamellas. Children can rotate with them and change the appearance of the building.
Design of settlement structure of contemporary city in historical context.
Macholánová, Petra ; Obrtlík,, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with an urban study on the territory of Červený kopec, specifically in the part of the territory of Stráň. It is a locality stated as a brownfield Kohnova cihelna. The proposal aims to make the most of the potential of this site, which lies in its proximity to the city center, the neighborhood of the national natural monument, a significant area of greenery and the views that this place provides due to its topographic situation. A new city district is proposed on the area of 18 hectares, which would cover one of the "brownfield holes" on the map of the city of Brno and at the same time help against the outflow of population to the outskirts of the city and against the creation of urban satellites. Numerous public opinion polls show that they would like to live close to the city, but at the same time especially young families long for their own house in a quiet countryside location. Therefore, a compact development of terraced houses, terrace villas and blocks of flats with private courtyards is proposed here, complemented by quality public space and civic amenities. This new city district would offer housing for about 3,500 new residents.

Žáková, Dagmar ; Ležatka,, Lukáš (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The theme of the diploma project is urban contemporary urban structure in the City of Brno. The main purpose of the selected brownfield is understanding the revitalisation of the city and gets the maximum benefit and to demonstrate the viability of the proposed development and its economic characteristics with the surrounding residential. Proposed is the public space, park and streets in this structure. The territory is located in the Brno-Husovice, near the river Svitava and surrounded by several decaying brownfield. My task was to find the right key to understand this whole area which includes the former object called motorárna - Zetor and find out the ideal solution for the future use of the complex and link it with existing structure to create functional urban organism. Currently, there is a chaotic and heterogeneous structure, which has a negative impact on the surrounding area, which is given by that the area and the surrounding buildings are isolated and hidden behind the unsightly walls. The territory is almost impenetrable, inside the area completely and the natural throughput to the river and partial recreation was supressed. With my project I was trying to create place, which will offer different city urban structure and activities for all day long. In such a place people will met and they will live, work and recreate there and use the river Svitava the right way.
Design of a contemporary urban district in the context of a historic city - urban study
Stanislavová, Soňa ; Obrtlík, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design a high quality timeless urban district or part of the city, in relation to the existing historic city. The area in question is located in the historic centre, which is also a conservation area. The site contains both urban landmarks and historic buildings. However, most of the buildings were built after 1945, when the town was largely bombed out. The main idea of the design is to respect the existing structure. The design complements the existing buildings and creates new blocks that clearly define public and private space. Other elements include making public spaces more attractive, revitalising traffic areas and improving pedestrian infrastructure. The newly proposed development is predominantly residential in nature and should increase interest in living in the city for young people and businesspeople.

Dvorská, Mária ; Obrtlík,, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to create documentation for the building permit and part of the documentation for the construction. The work follows the architectural study, which was developed in the subject AG35 - Atelier of public buildings. The theme of the studio work was the Campus STU Competition by Inspireli. The main idea of the idea competition was to design a representative center of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The project includes the innovative STU science center, educational, social, multi-purpose and leisure spaces both indoors and outdoors and part of the rectory's workplaces. The Innovation Center serves students, pedagogues, researchers and employees of STU, as well as experts from practice, self-government and the public. The campus creates conditions for the interaction of the academic environment with practice and is an important communication space towards the public. This is helped by the opening of the complex and its connection with the main public spaces of the city. I designed a concept called "STUdents city", a city that has imaginary boundaries, while being open to the public, a city where students can find everything they need and can take it for them. During the new construction of the campus, I respond to the surrounding faculty buildings and the context of the place, and to make it open to the faculties materially and conceptually, and at the same time not to disturb them with its substance. I solved the problem of lack of light of the inner block by the potential of the sloping plot and by placing certain objects in the newly created terrain break, at the same time I ensured the supply of natural light and fresh air by means of atriums and skylights. When designing, I took into account the flexibility and variability of interior or exterior use. It was also important for me to use new technologies in the design for the technical school, such as facade glass that is environmentally frien
