Characteristics of Current Language of Advertising in the Daily paper "Bild"

This thesis is dedicated to the problematic of German advertising language in tabloid Bild. It aims to analyze the German advertising language in terms of its formal and graphic structure. It also focuses on the use of specific linguistics and typographic means and their frequency in analyzed texts. The analysis has shown the infiltration of the artistic means in the advertising language and its focus on brevity and simplicity, which was illustrated mainly by the representation of nouns, composites and one- member declarative sentences. This thesis can serve as a suitable basis for further analysis of advertising language and its specifics. KEYWORDS Linguistics, the language of advertising, tabloid, Bild, linguistic devices.

Communicating doorbell system in Mono/.NET

Recently, the technology of small, powerful computers such as Raspberry PI, micro-controllers and small electronics in general has greatly advanced. This has encouraged expansion of smart solutions and IoT. At the same time, development in the area of managed programming languages such as C# has advanced as well. Development of C# is currently focused on cross-platform compatibility. The goal of this thesis was to design and implement a communicating doorbell system based on Raspberry Pi. The system allows commonly used two-way audio communication and one-way video communication. Raspberry PI is controlled by matrix keypad. This thesis also discusses finding suitable technologies, analyzing and integrating them. Problems caused by less common behavior of technologies are mentioned. The developed solution consists of two applications, one for regular PCs and the second for the Raspberry PI platform, and shared library used by both applications. All three parts are implemented in Mono/.NET. 1

Characteristics of language means in contemporary journalistic texts

In the theoretical part, the hypothesis about more prevalent occurences in serious and tabloid newspapers will be established. This hypothesis will be validated by research literature. Furthermore, the chosen occurrences will be described in details on the basis of secondary literature. In the practical part, the selected occurrences will be mapped out in chosen serious and tabloid newspapers and the frequency of their appearance will be compared. The aim is to describe the language means that are typical for serious respectively tabloid newspapers. By selected occurrences (for example anglicisms, FVG, phraseologisms etc.) will be monitored not only their frequency, but especially the current trends in the use of these phenomena.
