Risk Assessment in a Municipality with Extended Authority and a Proposal of Measures for Reducing Losses on Public Assets
Struhařová, Ivana ; Sedlačík, Kamil (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
Dissertation "Risk assessment in selected municipality with extended powers with precautions suggestion to eliminate losses and damages to public assets" deals with analyses and assessment of the current situation at the selected municipality with extended powers. Vision of the first part of the thesis is to analyse current status of the analysis issues and risk assessment on the territory of the municipality. The second part of the thesis contains methods to achieve the risk assessment, evaluation of the current threats in the municipality and will provide a draft measure for the targeted risk management.
Application of Risk Analysis Methods for Assessing the Impact of the Business Entity to the Environment
Nováková, Nikola ; Mokrohajská, Júlia (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
The author of the diploma thesis deals with the application of methods and risk analysis to assess the environmental impact of the business entity. Firstly, this thesis incudes theoretical background information about case study, which is also support for applying methods and analyzing the necessary areas. The goal of this work is to find solutions and propose preventative measures to be used by enterprise in order to reduce environmental impact.
Risk of transport sources associated with valuation of environmental damage
Hefková, Lenka ; Popelová, Barbora (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the issue of valuation of environmental damage. The first part describes the current status (risk from mobile sources, their analysis and evaluation methods of damage assessment, legislation). It is obvious that the given issue is a hot topic and needs to be addressed. The next section describes the materials and methods to solve the issue and description of a model example to award damages. The aim is to build such a method that modeled appreciate the damage and then is applicable to a real problem. It also includes an analysis of risk. The method is based on the general approach Sejak, namely table is used with specific numbers for the injury calculations. In conclusion, it is concluded that the objective has been achieved, and the match was awarded a shame not financially financially. The recommendation is to use or improve a method for real crashes mobile sources in practice.
Impact of Operation Parameters on Fine Combustion Particles Concentration in the Flue Gas of Biomass Boilers
Poláčik, Ján ; Masaryk, Michal (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with the impact of operating parameters on fine combustion particles formation in the flue gas of biomass combustion device. The research part of the work describes the properties of fine particles, its basic division, impact on human health and the environment. The basic knowledge of the influence of biomass combustion process on fine particles production up to 1 µm in size is summarized. The main part describes the experimental setup for evaluating the size distribution of fine particles. The following section describes the experimental setup with measured results for various combustion parameters in laboratory combustion, automatic boilers, as well as in the manual wood-burning combustion device. The main parameters which were tested were combustion temperature, oxygen amount, type of fuel and geometry of the burned biomass. The impact of individual parameters on the formation of the fine particles is evaluated. The final part of the thesis summarizes the ways in which it is possible to significantly influence the emissions of fine particles by the appropriate choice of combustion operating parameters.
Safety Management System for Transport of Materials and Dangerous Substances
Pirner, Adam ; Huzlík, Jiří (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
My bachelor thesis is dealing with the dangerous substances transportation system. I used domestic as well as foreign literature sources over the past fifteen years. A part of presented sources were elaborated with help of the Study and Scientific Library Hradec Kralove according to the theme and key words. My thesis focuses on fundamental phrases connected with dangerous substances as well as the present valid legislation regulating the issue of dangerous substances transportation. Identification of dangerous substances and their qualities evaluation follows. This is essential both for common usage and for successful intervention in case of emergency and possible leak. The second half of my thesis is mostly dealing with dangerous substances transportation systems, means of transportation that conduct this activity and fire protection squads intervention during such emergency situations. Finally, there is presented own insight onto the given issue.
Risks of organism intoxication related to chemical substances commonly used in households or public places
Drápal, Stanislav ; Neklapilová, Vlasta (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the possibility of intoxication by selected chemicals at home or in public places. Especially the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. We’re assessing the current state of the level of awareness and prevention in the Czech Republic. The thesis prepared an overview of the current state of intoxication busy the carbon monoxide in the Czech Republic and the level of medical procedures. There are evaluated measures, which are aimed to reduce the frequency of poisoning. The outcome of the thesis is to design a set of measures, which are designed to eliminate health risks to the population and raise public awareness. The thesis was carried out their own research facilities, household detectors, carbon monoxide at a pre-selected location.
Methodical Procedures for Assessing the Impact of Extreme Weather on Property Damage
Sedláček, Milan ; Adamec, Vladimír (referee) ; Rožnovský, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the basic legal prerequisites to determining the amount of damage done to a real estate (building) in the legal framework of Slovak Republic. Its aim is to determine and quantify the property damage caused by extreme weather. It deals with climate problems as well as its indicators. This is accomplished through two different approaches - the analysis of actual damage done to the property for one, and secondly, the damage dealt to the building during its restoration into previous condition. The thesis aims to establish a methodological procedure for calculating all damages done to the property.
Risks Related to Involving the Voluntary Fire-fighter Units in the Radiation Situation Monitoring
Myslíková, Veronika ; Strmeň, Milan (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the analyzing the current state of monitoring the radiation situation by volunteer firefighters units in the emergency planning area in Dukovany nuclear power plant surroundings. The process of measurement is divided into preparation for radiation leakage and application of learned procedures in the case of the occurred radiation leakage. The aim is to identify the dangers in the current process as well as the possible risks in the case of radiation emergency by risk analysis. Based on this analysis, improvements suggestions will be made. These measures will be evaluated by their applicability and their economic value. The system of monitoring by voluntary firefighters will be compared with another monitoring system, which can be also used. The result of the analysis will be a more effective way of monitoring, including safety of the firefighter and less financial complexity.
Selected Soft Target Risks
Handl, Petr ; Popelová, Barbora (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with selected risks of soft targets, which may have a negative impact on the safety and security of these objects. In the current, we can find an explanation of the concept of soft targets, the terrorism that affects them and possible ways of protecting those targets. In our own solution we find an evaluation of the vulnerability of soft targets, possible countermeasures and risks arising from these measures.
Methods of Risk Assessment and Evaluation of Traffic Accidents
Klimešová, Barbora ; Daňková, Alena (referee) ; Adamec, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to research the methodological approaches used for reducing traffic accidents. One part of the methods is focused on methods of evaluating traffic accident rate on roads in terms of macro-analysis. Another group of methods for the prediction of traffic accidents. Subsequently, in the practical part the methodology is applied on two selected sections of roads and the resulting values are then compared with the actual dates that can explanatory power of these methods. Another part relates to the economic evaluation of road accidents on selected sections of roads and applications of integral indicators.
