Revitalization of weir on Svratka river inVranovice with fish crossing
Jágr, Josef ; Veselý, David (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This present work deals with the design of revitalization measures for the weir in Uherčice (Vranovice) on the river Svratka. The current condition of weir constuction does not allow aquatic animals to migrate, weir constuction is transverse barrier. In this river section are found many fish species like barbel, vimba, nase and chub, for which is migration completely natural part of their behavior. There is concrete weir with a movable flap and on the right bank is located a small hydroelectric power plant. Close to hydroelectric power plant outlet is mouth of Šatava river. Weir revitalization consists of fish pass construction. Proposed fish pass is located on the right bank of the stream. There is a close-to-nature bypass channel that will ensure a continuity of water flow of already mentioned river Svratka between Věstonice lake and Rajhrad weir. Entrance to the fish pass will use a part of Šatava mount, then will continue in the artificial channel to the upstream part of Svratka river. Fish pass exit cannot breake the function of protective anti-flood embankment of Svratka river, hence there will be used block off construction. During condition of flooding will exist the possibility to shut down proposed fish pass.
River revitalization for fish
Szarowski, Marcin ; Novotný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The case study provided for this bachelor’s thesis is based on the issue of rehabilitation of rivers for fish. The first part contains the recherché and the second part conceptual design. Substance of the revitalization is restoration of rivers to natural form. The thesis describes typical landscaping measures suitable for complex treatment of rivers in Czech Republic. Main benefit of revitalization is aquatic improvements in our rivers. The second section of this work includes examples of problem solution on the river Svratka.
Small tanks in the cultural landscape
Királ, Martin ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is mainly focused on preliminary design of a pond and it is divided into theoretical and practical part. The teoretical part is divided into three main chapters. First chapter deals with water, which is an important aspect of the life on the Earth, and its realationship to a landscape. The second chapter examines small water reservoirs, their functions, technical solutions and reconstruction of existing water reservoirs. The last theoretical part concetrates on ponds in Czech Republic and history of fish farming. The practical part includes preliminary design of the pond in Zbýšov in the district Brno-venkov, its hydrotechnical analysis and calculations, engineering report and photographs of the location.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Skolková, Daniela ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of thesis deals with the problems of soil erosion, surface runoff and measures affecting runoff. The part also explains the concept of surface runoff, and what are the most common methods taken to avoid water erosion caused by surface runoff. The next part about measures is divided into two chapters. The first part of measures describes the most common measures to increase the infiltration of surface runoff. In the second part of these measures were been described the measures to support water retention. The second part of the thesis includes methods of flood protection municipality Sebranice.
The possibilitis of revitalization transverse obstacles in the flow
Plhák, Jiří ; Vrba, Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The case study provided for this bachelor’s thesis is based on the issue of transvers obstacles in a flow. For the purpose of this bachelor’s thesis I decided to split this outcome into two parts as the recherché and conceptual design, and then describe each issue based on my further research. The first section is accorded to an issue with revitalization of the flow in the Czech Republic. There are topics such as adjustment of the flow, river-basin and accompanying vegetation related to an issue with revitalization. This also involves transverse obstacles in a flow which could cause a migration barrier for the fish. This could become critical when it comes to a partial restriction or total restriction of basic that fish need for survive. Both food migration and a reproduction migration could be affected. To finish the recherché off, I described an actions needed to implement the watercourses and improve on patency of the transverse obstacles. The thesis also includes examples of problem solution directly related to transverse obstacles. The part of river Svitava is 11 km long and consists of six weirs. I researched and described current condition of the each weir and then suggested an action required to improve on their function.
Revitalization of rivers on the way fish-passing facility building
Banzetová, Diana ; Princ, Michal (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is consisted of two parts. First part is about causes of fish migration and revitalization of streams by building of fish ladders over migration barriers. There are described two basic types of fish ladders, natural and technical including main features. Further it is about design, parameters and check of function of fish ladders. At the end there is summary of legislation and funding options of construction. The second part is dedicated to specific fish ladder. The fish ladder is situated to weir on the river Jihlava in Cvrcovice village. Bachelor thesis is here dedicated to description of one particular fish ladder based on actual fish stock. In this part there are hydraulic countings and specific data acquired of HEC-RAS program, in which was fish ladder designed and tested in simulated run based on hydraulic conditions.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Matějková, Jana ; Roubcová, Ing Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the first part of surface runoff and measures to combat this phenomenon. It explains what it is surface runoff, and what are the most common methods to protect against soil and surface runoff caused by water erosion on slopes. The second section paper examines the threat to the village Otaslavice to Vyškovsko rural area with water. The solution aims to use existing facilities for drain a surface water and the in capacity in relation to n-year occurence of torrential rainfall and runoff caused by them. For the valuation of drain age is used directive to calculate to the drain age of VMP and for as segment the capacity of waters equipment.
Revitalization of river for fish
Štěpánová, Markéta ; Vrba, Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of restoration of water flows. In this thesis takes into account the conditions for life and migration of aquatic animals. In the first part of this thesis are to analyze the types of water flow characteristics and fish´s zones. Further there are examples of modifications of water flows with regard to aquatic animals. The second part describes the character of existing condition of the Svitava River, in a section of Brno. There is also an assessment of the impact of buildings on the migration of aquatic animals, and also proposes some examples of adjustments.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Hyžák, Aleš ; Ing.Radka Roubcová (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of soil erosion, surface runoff and its subsequent influence on the situation in affected areas. It also addresses the technical measures proposed in the watershed affecting surface runoff. The scope of work can be content to divide into three parts. The first one deals with soil erosion vulnerability and describes surface runoff. The second section describes the most common technical measures implemented and their impact on surface runoff. Part three contains a specific problem solving situation in the Sněžné village.
The small reservoirs as part of cultural landscape
Portová, Nikola ; Vrba, Ing Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
While the title of this thesis is “Small reservoirs as a part of the cultural landscape”, the focus of this study is much broader. The analysis goes beyond small water reservoirs, discussing both the historical and technical aspects of their restoration with emphasis on the south Moravian reservoir systems. The opening chapter explores the history of the relationship water has with both society and nature. In the second chapter, the focus shifts onto the various roles, the physical and technical characteristics, as well as the methods for restoring small water reservoirs. In the final chapter, the emphasis shifts from reservoirs to ponds - and their utilization for farming fish. This chapter starts by exploring the current pond systems across Czech Republic, and then compares today’s south Moravian pond systems to their historical beginnings.
