Reconnection of magnetic field and consequences in plasma astrophysics
POKORNÝ, Jan
The topic of presented bachelor thesis is the description of the effect called reconnection of magnetic field. The first part describes the theory of plasma and magnetic field generally. Second chapter shows plasma behavior in the magnetic fields. Then, the attention is paid to the effect of reconnection of magnetic field and its numerical modelling. Further the influence of this effect on processes in astrophysical plasmas is described, especially the mechanism of reconnection of magnetic field on Sun and in our Galaxy. The last part shows a theoretical research of the possibility of triggering of magnetic reconnection by MHD oscillations and plasma waves and the inverse process of reconnection of magnetic field as a process which generate the plasma waves.
Composition and checking of effectivity of the volumic training schedule for men
POKORNÝ, Jan
This work is focused on a composition and consequent checking of effectivity of the volumic training plan and simultaneously informs about the basis of body-building as a sports branch. The work is divided into 3 parts. The first part deals with general principles and patterns of the strengthening process. The second part devotes to the composition of the volume training itself and the third part tests its efectivity, obteins values and deals with the final evaluation.
Role of wetlands in cycles of energy, water, nutrients, carbon and heavy metals in landscape
Pokorný, Jan ; Květ, Jan
Basic values on solar energy income and its distribution in dry and wetlans are given. Production of differnt wetland plants and accumulation of nutrients, carbon, hevy metals in biomass, water sediments are given for floodplains, fishponds, bogs, and wet meadows. Examples of nutrient loads, water capacity, evapotranspiration values are discused in terms of sustainable mamagement of landscape.
Mobility of manganese in aquatic ecosystems
Miholová, D. ; Száková, J. ; Vysloužilová, M. ; Kolihová, D. ; Pokorný, Jan
Concentration of Mn in sediment, water and plant biomass was studied in eutrophic fishponds of Třeboň Biosphere Reserve.

Landscape as dynamic living system
Pokorný, Jan
Holistic approach to landscape understanding in terms of solar energy dissipation, water and matter fluxes is dealt with. Measures of landscape functioning are defined. Floods and drought as consequences of anthropogenic impact are explained and strategy of sustainable landscape management formulated.
Role of short water cycle in restoration of ecological functions of landscape
Pokorný, Jan
Fluxes of matter, water and energy are the principle ecological functions of landscape. Open cast mining deteriorated and changed these fluxes since it directly dealt with large surfaces of landscape. The restoration strategy of large landscape surfaces should be aimed at restoration of short water cycle, i.e. restoration of large stands of vegetation in order to close again water cycle and to buffer heat potential in landscape, to close matter cycles and reduce matter losses from landscape.
Effect of different management on development of vegetation, fluxes of energy, water and matter in landscape using case studies of three small catchments
Procházka, J. ; Hakrová, P. ; Pokorný, Jan
Effect of different mamagement practices on ecological functioning of landscape has being studied in three small catchment of Šumava mountains. The highest matter losses in terms of base cations were found in agriculture drained land. Dissipation of solar energy has been evaluated by means of Landsat satellite pictures.
Třeboňsko 2000. Ecology and Economy of the Třeboň Region after 20 years
Pokorný, Jan ; Šulcová, J. ; Hátle, M. ; Hlásek, J.
The conference Třeboňsko 2000, with its sub-title The ecology and economy of the Třeboň Region is the third of such conferences - following two ones, held in 1978 and 1988, respectively. The present conference has continued in the fine tradition of good communication between all the subject areas thet are inevitably involved in, and/or influenced by, the conservation and development of the Třeboň Basin Protected Landscape Area and Biosphere Reserve
Meteorological monitoring in the Třeboň Basin Biorphere Reserve
Pokorný, Jan ; Kolmanová, Andrea
Monitoring of climate and atmospheric deposition in the Třeboň landscape protected area long term data on month precipitation [1901-1999] chemical composition of rain water ind. heavy metals content [1990-1999] monthly sums of global solar radiation [1997-1999], precipitation free periods for Třeboň region are given. Year courses of underground water fluctuation together with retention capacity and rain precipitation are discussed for different vegetation types of the Red Bog.
