Studium vývoje únavového poškozování u lité superslitiny Inconel 738LC pomocí konfokální laserové rastrovací mikroskopie a miroskopu AFM
Juliš, M. ; Man, Jiří ; Obrtlík, Karel ; Podrábský, T. ; Polák, Jaroslav
Confocal scanning laser microscopy (CLSM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were applied to study surface relief within persistent slip markings (PSMs) in cast nickel-base superalloy Inconel 713LC cyclically strained under strain control at room temperature. The PSM topography with the shape and size of extrusions and intrusions and their evolution during cycling is documented. Isolated peak-like intrusions and hilly extrusions indicate that the cyclic plastic strain is non-uniformly distributed in persistent slip bands. Surface relief data obtained with both high-resolution techniques are compared.
Fatigue behaviour of nickel base superalloy Inconel 738LC at room temperature
Juliš, M. ; Obrtlík, Karel ; Petrenec, Martin ; Podrábský, T.
Total strain controlled tests have been performed on cylindrical specimens of Inconel 738LC polycrystals at room temperature (23 °C). Cyclic hardening, cyclic stress-strain and fatigue life curves were obtained. Fracture surface was studied using scanning electron microscopy. High amplitude cycling results in early pronounced hardening followed by secondary hardening. Low amplitude cycling is characterized by the stable stress response. Manson-Coffin and Basquin laws can reasonably approximate the fatigue life data. Fatigue crack initiation close to the surface from casting defects is documented.
Comparison of low cycle fatigue characteristics of cast nickel base superalloys Inconel 713 LC a Inconel 792-5A
Petrenec, Martin ; Obrtlík, Karel ; Polák, Jaroslav
Cylindrical specimens of cast polycrystalline nickel base superalloys Inconel 713 LC and Inconel 792-5A were cyclically strained under total strain control at room temperature and at 800 °C. Structural characteristics of both materials are documented. Metallographic observations revealed coarse grains with dendrites, shrinkage pores and carbide inclusions. TEM observation shows differences in the morphology of ordered γ´ precipitates in both materials. Cyclic hardening/softening curves, cyclic stress-strain curves, and fatigue life curves were obtained for both temperatures. The cyclic hardening/softening curves depend both on temperature and plastic strain amplitude. The cyclic stress-strain curves can be approximated by power law. Experimental points of fatigue life curves satisfy the Manson-Coffin and Basquin law. Stress-strain response and fatigue life characteristics are compared at both temperatures and discussed in relation to structural parameters of materials studied.
Fatigue behaviour of nickel base superalloy Inconel 713LC at high temperature
Juliš, M. ; Obrtlík, Karel ; Podrábský, T. ; Petrenec, Martin
Total strain controlled tests have been performed on cylindrical specimens of Inconel 713 LC polycrystals at 800 °C. Cyclic hardening-softening, cyclic stress-strain and fatigue life curves were obtained. Fracture surface was studied using scanning electron microscopy. High amplitude cycling results in early pronounced hardening followed by softening. Low amplitude cycling is characterized by the stable stress response. Manson-Coffin and Basquin laws can reasonably approximate the fatigue life data. Fatigue crack initiation at casting defects is documented.
Low cycle fatigue of notched specimens of austenitic steel AISI 321 at 23 and 325 °C
Obrtlík, Karel ; Petrenec, Martin
Low cycle fatigue tests of notched specimens of AISI 321 steel were performed at 23 a 325 °C. Fatigue hardening/softening curves, fatigue life curves and cyclic stress-strain curves were evaluated.
Low cycle fatigue characteristics of AlCuMgNi at elevated temperatures
Obrtlík, Karel
Low cycle fatigue tests of AlCuMgNi were performed at 130, 150 a 180 °C. Fatigue hardening/softening curves, fatigue life curves and cyclic stress-strain curves were evaluated.
Low cycle fatigue testing of materials at elevated temperatures
Obrtlík, Karel ; Petrenec, Martin ; Man, Jiří ; Polák, Jaroslav
Low cycle fatigue testing metod of materials at elevated temperature is presented. Low cycle fatigue tests were performed in the material Inconel 713LC at 500 °C. The test results are used to evaluate the fatigue life.
Low cycle fatigue characteristics of austenitic stainless steel AISI 321 at 23 and 325 °C
Obrtlík, Karel
Cylindrical specimens of austenitic stainless steel AISI 321 were cyclically strained under total strain control to fracture at room temperature and at 325 °C. Hardening/softening curves, cyclic stress-strain curves and fatigue life curves in the representation of total strain amplitude, plastic strain amplitude and stress amplitude versus number of cycles to fracture were evaluated.
Porovnání cyklických deformačních křivek materiálu ADI
Zapletal, J. ; Obrtlík, Karel ; Věchet, S.
Stress-strain response of austempered ductile iron was studied in tensile and in fatigue loading. Cyclic stress-strain curve was obtained both in the companion specimen method and in the multiple step test method. Both cyclic stress-strain curves lie above the monotonic curve.
