Analysis of the Tennis Serve from the perspective of the receiving player

Title: Analysis of the Tennis Serve from the perspective of the receiving player Objectives: To determine whether it is possible for the receiving opponent to estimate the direction and type of tennis serve based on the server's toss. Methods: The indirect method was used in the form of video surveillance to meet the objectives. The analyzed group consisted of five professional tennis players, who were exposed to the research model game situation. All five servers were recorded by a high speed camera in the area of the receiving player; radar was used to measure the ball speed. The key point for evaluation was the moment of release of the ball from the server's hand, the highest reached point of the ball and the moment when the ball was hit by the racket. The analyzed results were presented in the form of tables and graphs; from the statistical methods, the arithmetic average was used mainly. Results: This research focused on anticipating the tennis serve from the perspective of the receiving player. Overall, we observed five players, who served first from the right side and then the left side into the dedicated opponent's receiving area marked by lines. Title: Guide for selection of tennis equipment Objectives: The main purpose of this thesis is to create a detailed guide for selecting tennis equipment, which will help people choose right racquet, strings and balls. In addition a questionnare will be elaborated to detect the equipment preferences of players at performance level. Methods: Content analysis of documents was used in this thesis and was completed by a questionnare. Results: Result of this thesis is a guide for selecting tennis equipment, which helps people choose the right racquet and strings. One will also gain better knowledge of tennis ball characteristics in connection with different surfaces and varying game styles. Also results from the questionnare will be elaborated to illustrate the preferences of players at performance level. Analysis of the badminton matches in men's and women's singles

Title: Analysis of the badminton matches in men's and women's singles The goals of essay: Main goal of the essay is to find out differences in first three shots and its most common combinations in single matches of men and women in relation to gaining a point during the rally. Another goal was to find frequency of using backhand and forehand hold in second and third shot. The last goal was to compare the frequency of ending in first, second and third shot between men and women. Methods: Indirect analysis - videoanalysis Results: According to results men and women primarily choose different types of serving. Men most often use short backhand serve, women high forehand serve. For the second shot men choose short shot or lob, women use smash. The third shot is lob in men rally, women choose short shot most often. Generally men uses in the first three shots shots less clears than women do. For both sexes are the most effective shots offensive ones, but men are more successful than women. The most effective direction of return was for men and for women the body of the player, in third shot it was the backhand side too (left middle and left back of the field). Title: The mental resilience of a tennis player during a match Objectives: The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to describe individual components of mental resilience of a selected tennis player. Methods: In this bachelor's thesis a qualitative type of research was used, specifically a case study of one particular professional tennis player. The method is an interview with instructions, a partaking observation and a document analysis. Results: The components of mental resilience were described in this bachelor's thesis. Title: Differences in game acts at the baseline among youth and adult categories in tennis. Goals: The aim is to find out where on the court the players move in time of hitting the ball, if they "circle it" and to what extent. We'll compare the results through youth and adult categories. Method: Using a structured observation we observed the position of the players during the match on the court and the representation of single strokes during the game. Results: The results show the differences in game acts among all categories: the position of the player during the hit of the ball, the percentage of forehands and backhands in the game and success and effectiveness of strokes from the baseline. Temperament and its consideration in the formation of training units in tennis for younger pupils

Title: Temperament and its consideration in the formation of training units in tennis for younger pupils. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to determine temperament of pupils, to apply . model training unit and find out how much influence their athletic . ……………. performanece during training. . Methods: In this paper is use subjective method of observation, analysis methods of artistic expression, assessment method using a numerical rating scales and questionnaires investigation detecting subjective feelings from treined unit. Results: I found that the most frequently occurring is sanguine temperament, around fifty percent, then the least frequent is melancholic temperament. I also observed that temperament should really be an integral part in the creation of training units in tennis for younger pupils. Almost all tested (14/15) has seen positive reception during training units offs of their temperament and negative using opposing units. Formation and development of sport game Ultimate

Název práce: Vznik a vývoj sportovní hry Ultimate Cíle práce: Cílem práce je shrnutí aktuálně dostupných informací o sportovní hře Ultimate. Na základě získaných informací je ve snaze autora podat ucelený text o vzniku, vývoji a současném stavu netradiční sportovní hry Ultimate, též označované jako Ultimate Frisbee. Dalším cílem je komparovat vývoj sportovní hry Ultimate v jednotlivých částech světa. Metoda: Pro získání informací, které vedly k popisu zkoumané problematiky, byla použita zejména analýza odborné literatury a analýza dokumentů a textů. Dále autor pracoval s historickým výzkumem, jež byl relevantní pro pochopení současného stavu a vývoje Ultimate. Výsledky: Autorovi se podařilo shromáždit informace o sportovní hře Ultimate na základě dostupných pramenů jak z dostupné české literatury a internetových zdrojů tak hlavně ze zahraniční literatury. Shromážděné informace podávají ucelený pohled na moderní, rozvíjející se sport, který se v rámci posledních dvaceti let snaží dostat do povědomí veřejnosti.
