Numerical simulation of flow over horizontal strip moving in stratified water
Bodnár, Tomáš ; Beneš, L.
The contribution deals with the numerical simulation of the flow over thin horizontal strip placed in the stably stratified fluid flow. Mathematical model is based on the Boussinesq approximation of tne N-S equations. Two different numerical schemes were used for numerical solution. The first one is high order compact finite difference scheme, the secon one is the finite volume AUSM MUSCL scheme.
Aggregations as an antipredator strategy in common toad tadpoles (\kur{Bufo bufo}).
BODNÁR, Tomáš
Tadpoles of many anuran species use a huge number of behavioral modifications to avoid predators. Reduced activity in presence of predators is favorite strategy for common toad tadpoles (Bufo bufo). Responses against predator cues by tadpoles of Bufo bufo in the presence of another cue of larger tadpole aggregation were tested in this study. We observed that these tadpoles responded differently to predator chemical cues than tadpoles in a small group.
Vocalisation behavior in European treefrog (\kur{Hyla arborea}): Does the social context influence male calling patterns?
BODNÁR, Tomáš
In this study I investigate for two consecutive breeding seasons male calling patterns in natural population of European treefrog (Hyla arborea), a hylid frog with prolonged breeding season and a lek mating system. I tested the hypothesis that males modify their vocal behavior in different ways when faced with stimuli of competitors with various body size. Further here, the influence of water temperature and size of advertising males on their call properties were concerned.
O validaci numerického modelu pro simulaci turbulentního proudění s volnou hladinou
Bodnár, T. ; Kozel, K. ; Příhoda, Jaromír
The numerical solution of averaged Navier-Stokes equations with the two-equation SST turbulence model is carried out by means of the VOF method. This approach is based on the assumptions for variable-density incompressible flow with discontinuity in density profile at the free-surface. Numerical solution by means of the finite-volume method utilises the cell-centered scheme on a structured mesh. Numerical results were compared with experimental data for subcritical flow over ribs in an open channel.
Numerická simulace třírozměrného turbulentního proudění s volnou hladinou v zakřiveném kanále
Bodnár, Tomáš ; Příhoda, Jaromír ; Kozel, K.
The paper deals with the numerical simulation of free surface flow in a curved channel. An interface capturing method was chosen for description of the free surface. Numerical simulation was carried out for turbulent flow in a curved channel of square cross-section that was partially filled by water.
Application of numerical pollution dispersion models for complex terrain flows
Bodnár, T. ; Sládek, I. ; Kozel, K. ; Beneš, L. ; Jaňour, Zbyněk
Mathematical and numerical investigation of the ABL flow over 3D complex terrain involving some part of the Krkonoše mountains is presented. Two mathematical models have been formulated and are based upon the RANS equations in the non-conservative form and the Boussinesq approximation of RANS eq. in the non-conservative form for an incompressible flow with an algebraic turbulence closure and given boundary conditions.
Numerical modelling of pollution dispersion in complex terrain
Bodnár, T. ; Kozel, K. ; Fraunié, P. ; Jaňour, Zbyněk
Amathematical model for prediction of flow and pollution dispersion in ABL is developed. A numerical method is proposed for the solution of the governing system of PDE. The method is based on finite-difference semi-implicit discretization scheme. structured boundary-fitted mesh. Some results od simple numerical tests are presented and discussed.
