The topic of Bachelor's thesis "Application of statistical methods for trading in the currency and commodity market" is a practical utilization of statistical methods, also known under the term "technical analysis", for trading in financial or commodity market. Thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter contains theoretical ground for understanding the practical part. The second chapter contains the execution of simulation of strategies on historical data. In the final chapter of the thesis, a suggestion for improvement of the results is placed. The thesis aims to evaluate the results of strategies and proposes suggestions for their improvement.

Bachelor's thesis analyses the company Elektrizace železnic Praha a. s. from 2001 to 2009. Analysis of the company is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the analysis of the economic indicators. The second part focuses on the analysis of the selected information in the sequence by using statistical methods. This section also contains the foreseeable development of the company in the years 2010 and 2011. The work contains proposals for improving the financial situation of the company.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the assessment of selected indicators of company KOPOS KOLÍN a.s. using statistical methods in the period from 2012 to 2017. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. In the first part the thesis is focused on the theoretical background to the given topic, namely on the concepts related to the financial analysis and consequently on the statistical methods. The second part is devoted to the evaluation of selected financial indicators of the company KOPOS KOLÍN a.s., finding problems, comparison with competitors and prediction of future development. The third part contains suggestions for improving the financial situation of this company based on the output of the analyzed indicators.

The presented Bachelor Thesis aims to outline the possibilities for reaching competitiveness of a company and the assessment of its reflexion on results for his economy, especially in connection with the beginning economic crisis. In the theoretical part of the thesis, first of all the basic terms concerning competitiveness are explained and further chosen economic indexes suitable to the assessment of economic results of a company are introduced here. In the practical part of the thesis, the economic evaluation of a presentive company is carried out with the aim to find out, by means of financial indexes, if it reaches stable economic results and if the beginning economic crisis has become evident in these results.

In another part thesis is focused on the application of this theory to analyze the situation of the company in the period and then examined possible solutions and proposals for improving the situation of the company in future years.
