Municipal Waste Production Analysis

Thesis analyses the current state of waste management of Czech Republic and the issue of production of various kinds of waste. Real data about production and composition of waste flows of Jihlava have been used. In addition, thesis evaluates the impact of local conditions on production of isolated constituents of municipal waste within the town. Influences such as density of population, housing development or form of heating have been monitored. A method on the town level for estimation and evaluation of production of municipal waste is designed in the thesis. Tools such as descriptive statistics, correlative analysis or association rules are used.

Demographic Trend Analysis in the Education of the City of Jihlava

This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of demographic trend and on the analysis of kindergarten and primary schools in the town of Jihlava. The main objective is to make a prognosis of number of children to be enrolled at kindergartens and primary schools depending on number of the born children. The prognosis of number of children will be compared with the existig capacity of kindergartens and primary schools. Statistical methods of time series application are utilised in this thesis.

The ocean cleaning technology concepts

The main aim of this master's thesis is the world ocean pollution by plastic waste. The introductory part of the thesis contains general information about the production of plastics and plastic waste, followed by data on ocean pollution by plastic waste including the estimated amount, pollution sources, and composition. Part of the thesis consists of the introduction of known concepts that are already actively looking for a solution to marine waste and of their mutual comparison. The following part deals with the plastic waste management, the possibilities of its treatment and utilization. The last area is the draft of an alternative system that is focused on an effective solution in accordance with environmental aspects. Within this draft, a material and economic balance is made.

This Bachelor’s thesis deals with statistics methods, in particular describes the analysis of selected indicators of the company Steripak, s.r.o. using time series. At first part is explained the theoretical background needed to analyse the data. The practical part includes analysis of selected indicators. The indicators show the financial activities of company and are important for making decisions about future of company. Subsequently the prognosis is created, if it is possible.
