Digitally controlled electronic load
Bordovský, Tomáš ; Vochyán, Josef (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with analysis and exploration of design options, how to design and produce an electronic load. The paper discussed the possibilities of digital control. It also describes the principles of structural components and there was chosen one type variant which is designed to circuits and printed circuit boards. Moreover, the thesis also include technical drawings of mechanical parts. At the end of this paper, final soulution with measurements and parameters are presented.
Low-range high-speed optical transceiver
Pučálka, Jan ; Tošovský, Petr (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with description and design of a low-cost free-space optical (FSO) link. First, general FSO theory is discussed including their common parameters, properties and topologies. Further, optical signal sources and detectors are proposed. Finally, the selected implementation is described including its design and realization. The proposed FSO consists of two identical segments (modules) to form a full-duplex link. The FSO utilizes LED as a light source, maximum speed data rate is 100 Mb/s with 100Base-TX interface.
Control system for remote laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy
Petrilak, Michal ; Fuchs, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The work deals with the design of the control electronics for measuring set-up for elemental composition analysis using remote LIBS techniques. The electronics is designed in modular way for light interchangeability and variability. It consists of several separate plug-ins; each plug-in solves its part of the problem and communicates with others over the I2C bus. The work describes the basic components and concepts; a special care is taken to describe the modules for stepper motors control and for communication with focusing lens from Canon company.
Generic logic analyzer
Tajč, Martin ; Povalač, Karel (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of the project is to design a generic logic analyzer based on an FPGA. The analyzer should be able to analyze protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485 and GPIO. The captured data can be observed using an embedded graphical display or using a PC. The PC can be used to control the analyzer and to save the captured data. The thesis is divided into several parts. First, the basic structure of the analyzer is described including detailed description of its particular components. Later on, the most common protocols that can be decoded using the analyzer are described. Finally, the FPGA subsystem and microcontroller application are presented together with corresponding source codes.
High-speed data switch
Toman, Jakub ; Bobula, Marek (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on desing high-speed ethernet switch based on circuit FPGA. The switch is able to divide one data stream, created from ethernet frames to the two data streams with half data flow.
Power audio amplifier with AC/DC converter
Melša, Vojtěch ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work was to design and construct a simple audio amplifier, which would be based of involvement and components used in switching power sources on the maximum degree (for example from usual ATX sources for computer). The main motivation for development is the existence of many old sources that do not use and big interest of users for the construction of home audio amplifiers for small and medium power. Amplifiers based on switching power sources with greater efficiency and less weight than comparable classic amplifiers (working in classes A, B or AB). Their disadvantage is the complicated design and introduction of distortion and spurious signals to the amplified signal. This work will be described a design of simple amplifier, which will minimize these negative effects. For shortcomings and wrong parameters this proposed involvement will be eventually described and implemented design of amplifier in class D.
Ultrasonic anemometer
Dvořáček, Michael ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
Work describe principles and problems of the realization ultrasonic anemometer. It's described methods of computation speed wind and its correction. In favor of realization are used ultrasonic transducers and microcontroller ARM Cortex-M3. The work treats PWM signal generating, its analog filtration, amplification and transmitting. On receiving part there are low voltage amplifier and comparator. Developing code is described by flowcharts.
Microprocessor system IP core generator
Kerber, Rostislav ; Tošovský, Petr (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This master’s thesis deal’s with VHDL programming language, ISE Webpack design system and PicoBlaze microprocessor. The thesis describes essentials of VHDL programming language and its application. A simple introduction to ISE Webpack design environment is given. The thesis describes common peripherals and the PicoBlaze processor is described too, including its parameters and implementation aspects. Finally the thesis describes IP generator for generating complex FPGA design including Picoblaze processor.
FPGA based sound card for PC
Štraus, Pavel ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This project deals with implementation of a first order Sigma–Delta AD converter on the FPGA. This ADC is design for an audio signal processing. ADC is build up partially from digital blocks implemented in FPGA (programmed using VHDL) and from few analog components placed external to FPGA. Output from ADC is PCM signal. Data from ADC is created UDP datagram, which is sent to PC via network connection. Income data are received in created program, which save data to text file. This text file is processing in MATLAB.
Laboratory Kit for Programmable Logic Demonstration
Svoboda, Stanislav ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Kolouch, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor’s project deals with solutions of laboratory kit for teaching of work with CPLD curcuits which are made by company ALTERA. It is also including design of PCB - printed cirucit board and way of their realization. For construction is used circuit CPLD EPM 7064SLC44 made by ALTERA. Whole laboratory kit for Programable Logic Demonstration is designed as individual unit, which is capable to work as individual function. The kit can be amplified by connection of optional peripherals.
