The aim of the thesis is to describe the purpose, content and methods of economic analysis in the theoretical part. The application part continues by application of the theoretical findings to financial statements of ITW PRONOVIA, s.r.o. company of years 2009 to 2014. The most important elements are horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio indicators, DuPont analysis, working-capital analysis, economic value added (EVA), Value and Bankruptcy models and labor productivity analysis.

Analysis of the Determinants of the Formation of Flat Prices

In this diploma thesis are analyzed selling prices of flats in Czech Republic. Based on literature and economic theory about similar topic was made economic model and constructed variables, which could have effect on the price. For the analysis were used information about 1100 flats in 8 Czech cities. The effect of the variables was measured using ordinary least square method. Increase of size of the flat by one squared meter cause 1,28% increase of price. Price of flats in ground floor is lower than other flats. This effect raises until fifth floor. Flats in last floor are cheaper than others. The effect of balcony is almost 33% higher price. Fixed effects of cities give the results that Prague is the most attractive, at the end is Ústí nad Labem.

What affects the attendance demand of handball matches?

In this bachelor thesis is analyzed the attendance demand of handball matches in the Czech Republic and in Germany. The research is based on data about 516 matches of highest handball competition in the Czech Republic (Extraliga) and 918 matches of highest handball competition in Germany (Bundesliga). One of the main differences is that Czech spectators care only about short-term performance of home team and long-term performance of away team, but in Germany care about short-term and long-term performance of both, home and away team. Next one is the influence of temperature. In Extraliga there is an optimal point of temperature 8,75°C. In Bundesliga the attendance is decreasing while the temperature is rising. In both countries is the attendance decreasing while the distance is increasing (the Czech Republic 3,2% per 100km, Germany 0,8% per 100km). If the match was broadcasted on television the attendance demand was higher (in the Czech Republic by 12,3%, in Germany by 14%). The reason is that the variable means more the attractiveness and importance of match than the substation. The same is also that playing in afternoon hours is the best option; in Czech is the attendance bigger at weekends than in weekdays. Next result was that there is no competition with more popular sports (in Czech Republic with football and ice-hockey, in Germany with football). Home team fixed effects results show the same thing that the average attendances show. In Germany the attendance is about 10 times higher. Season fixed effects results show the decrease of attendance in season 2011/12.

Výzkum a vývoj zpracování obnovitelných zdrojů na biopaliva a chemické polotovary: Teoretická příprava, studium procesů, vymezení dílčích úkolů řešení projektu, realizace výzkumného experimentálního zařízení

Popis expertimentu, ve kterém se podařilo z destilovaného metylesteru izolovat metylstereát, metylpalmitát a metyloleát jako cenné chemické polotovary pro další chemické zpracování. Byla navržena a realizována pilotní aparatura pro kontinuální, tlakovou, heterogenní transesterifikaci glyceridů. Byl vyvinut a vyroben kompozitní, pórezní katalyzátor. Byla připavena kompletní technologie přípravy metylesterů z odpadních živočišných tuků.

V rámci řešení projektu byl prováděn experimentální výzkum frakcionalizace metylesterů řepkového oleje. Byla studována příprava kyseliny azelaiové a jejího monometylesteru ozonolýzou kyseliny oleové a metyloleátu. bylo pokračováno v experimentech s aparaturou pro kontinuální heterogenní transesterifikaci. Byla postavena aparatura pro superkritickou transesterifikaci triglyceridů a volných mastných kyselin bez přítomnosti katalyzátoru. Je popsáno využití alkylesterů mastných nenasycených kyselin při přípravě bezrozpouštědlových laků. Byly vyvinuty další analytické metody pro podporu hodnocení surovin, polotovarů a finálních produktů.

Zpráva studuje možnosti využití alkylesterů jako ekologicky přijatelných reaktivních ředidel. Je sledována možnost náhrady těkavých, hořlavých alkydových pryskyřic (xylen, lakový benzín) za rozpouštědla reaktivní (alkylestery nenasycených mastných kyselin) a dále náhrady reaktivního rozpouštědla styrenu metylestery nenasycených mastných kyselin modifikovaných cyklopentadienem. Byla studována katalytická oxidace sekundárních hydroxylových skupin glycerolu. Bylo navrženo technologické zařízení pro rafinaci glycerolu na Pharma kvalitu. Byl připraven návrh technologických linek výroby metylesteru s kapacitou 10 a 25 kt/rok.

The practical section rests on performing financial analysis of RWE Transgas, Ltd. between years 2005 and 2010 using horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements, ratio indicators, working-capital analysis, EVA and benchmark.

Aplikace neuronových sítí a metody ROC v klasifikačních úlohách

The disseratation theses deals with the problem of cost-sensitive binary classification by means of neural networks applied in economical prediction tasks, especially in the field of financial distress prediction. The first part contains the review of existing research in this area and the challenging key points related to cost-sensitive classification are set there. After that, the application of existing Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) method, which is able to solve mentioned problems, is discussed and the possibility of its wider use in economical prediction is proposed. The methodology of ROC analysis application is shown in medical and economical experiment of classification with neural networks.
