Stacked Yagi antenna for 60 GHz frequency band
Janečka, Martin ; Polívka, Milan (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and simulation of multi-layer stacked Yagi antenna at the frequency of 60 GHz. At work are proposed and compared two ways of antenna feeding methods. Based on the results obtained, antenna is fed by substrate integrated waveguide. The proposed antenna has been optimized in terms of gain and impedance matching at the specified frequency. The correct functionality of the antenna was verified by simulation program CST MWS 2011. Simulation results were verified experimentally.
Broadband dielectric resonator antennas
Zbořil, Jan ; Polívka, Milan (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The diploma project deals with the numerical modeling, implementation and measurement of dielectric dipoles excited by a coaxial probe. Attention was turned to shape optimization of dipoles from the viewpoint of ultra wideband parameters in the band group 6. (“Bandgroup 6“). Two antennas exhibiting the best parameters were fabricated. Results of measurements were compared with simulation results. Simulations and measurements were in agreement. For the simulations, we use program CST Microwave Studio.
Slot Antenna Array Based on Substrate Integrated Waveguide
Sedláček, Petr ; Polívka, Milan (referee) ; Mikulášek, Tomáš (advisor)
The Master’s Thesis deals with the design of slot antenna array based on the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). Various supply methods are described and the design procedure is approached. The antenna array was designed for Wi-Fi band of 5 GHz in the Ansoft HFSS simulation software. The optimalized parameters are impedance bandwidth (low reflection coefficient at antenna input in the desired frequency band) and the gain (the maximum value). As the result of the work 3 antenna arrays based on the substrate integrated waveguide are designed and fabricated: antenna arrays 2x1, 2x2 and antenna array 2x2 supplemented with housing for outdoor use. The work also contains a comparison of simulated and measured parameters of antennas.
Reconfigurable patch antenna
Zlatníček, Radek ; Polívka, Milan (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the design and implementation of a reconfigurable patch antenna. The antenna is fed by a microstrip transmission line. To the microstrip feeder, tuning stubs are connected. Each stub matches the input impedance of the antenna to 50 ? for different operation frequencies. Stubs can be individually connected to the feeder by PIN diodes; operation frequency of the antenna can be switched that way. In the project, the antenna is initially designed for antenna substrate RO3006. Then, the design will be converted to the substrate ARLON AD600 selected for the realization. In the project, modifications of stubs will be proposed to properly connect the PIN diodes. Functionality of the designed antenna will be verified by modeling in Ansoft Designer. The last part will be dealt with implementation of the antenna and the experimental measurement of their properties.
Analysis of microstrip antennas
Kozák, Filip ; Polívka, Milan (referee) ; Štumpf, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with the method for analysis of one-port microstrip circuits which is called as contour-integral method. The general procedure for evaluating of important parameters concerning the analysis of microstrip antennas is given. Next, the geometrical parameters necessary for the calculation of elements in U and H matrices are numerically solved. With the help of these matrices, the input impedance or the reflection coefficient can be easily found.
Design of planar antenna structures from metamaterials
Javora, Petr ; Polívka, Milan (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis deals with basic principles of metamaterials, which exhibit unusual properties in microwave applications (e.g., negative permittivity and permeability). Different type of metamaterial antennas and parameters of such antennas are described in the thesis.
