Quality management tools

This bachelor thesis deals with methods, and above all with quality management tools. It consists of four parts. In the first part of the thesis is briefly presented the history of approaches to quality management. In the second part, a basic overview of the seven basic tools for quality control is elaborated and in the case of those tools, which are statistical, the procedure of their construction in Minitab is outlined. In the third part are processed advanced statistical tools with a focus on the analysis of the measurement system. In the fourth, practical part, selected methods of analysis of the measurement system are analyzed by case studies.

Localization system

The intent of this master’s thesis is to look for the best solution of finding lost items of everyday use. Described solution is based on GPS for outdoor and Bluetooth Low Energy for indoor localization. User of this system will be able to find his/her lost items using smartphone application.

Technical Risk Analysis

This master‘s thesis, entitled Technical Risk Analysis, focuses on the new harmonized FMEA method. The theoretical part deals with advanced quality planning, quality tools and a detailed description of all seven steps of the new FMEA method. The main goal of this work is to describe the harmonized FMEA method and create a case study on the topic of nonconforming product management. The harmonized FMEA will be illustrated in this case study.

The device for temperature sensors calibration

The goal of this thesis is to design a device that allows calibrating temperature sensors. The device is made of a thermal chamber with Peltier module. Part of this work discusses means of temperature measurement, control and regulation. This work describes design of circuit and PCB. The device can precisely control temperature and temperature profile. It can also automatically calibrate Pt100 and Pt1000 sensors. User can control the device either by interface on the device or from a computer. Temperature range inside the thermal chamber is from 7,5 °C to 115 °C with ±0,10 °C error.

Li-Ion battery testing and diagnostics device

This thesis deals with the design of the device for diagnostics Li-Ion cells. The device is devided into a control module and a battery module. The control module provides communication with the user, communication with the computer and data backup to the SD card. The battery module is used for charging, discharging and measuring cells.

Předkládaná práce se zabývá problematikou elektrotechnických výrobních procesů za použití optimalizačních a inovativních metod. Základním zaměřením práce je vytvoření přehledu zakládních optimalizačních metod jako je 6 Sigma, Lean manufacturing, Total Quality management, a dalších. V další fázi půjde o představení a popis inovativní technologie TRIZ. Závěrečnou částí teoretické práce je příkladová studie, ve které je představen postup řešení inovativních návrhů TRIZ, za pomocí alagoritmu ARIZ, k nalezení rešení automatizace meřícího systému.

The designed instrument can be used for educational purposes and as a demonstration in the field of voltage sources.

Measurement System for Etched Track Detector

The aim of this thesis is to design an algorithm for an automatic track counting of an image of etched track detector made of CR-39 polymer. Tracks are produced by alpha particles. Chemically etched detector is imaged using a microscope resulting in 64 images of segments on the surface of the detector. Circle shaped tracks in the images have to be detected and counted. This thesis evaluates the utilization of circle hough transform for circle detection. The final software should automate a detector track counting and should also account for defects in the image and contamination of detector surface. The software will produce a measurement report with a total track count in each segment.

Bluetooth communication set

This thesis describes features and capabilities of the Bluetooth 5 and Bluetooth Low Energy communication interface. Subsequently, microcontrollers with this interface are described with the main emphasis on BlueNRG microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics company. The next part is about designing PCBs for high-frequency applications and also board containing BlueNRG microcontroller is designed. The next part is about design of final circuit schematic and motive of printed circut board. Every functional block of princed circuit board is here also described and it’s purpose explained. Final chapters of this thesis describe how does the program for MCU works, it’s functional parts and also example of sending commands to modules and verifying it’s parameters is present.

This project deals with portal-type CNC milling machine design and construction. CNC milling machine should be able to machining light metals and alloys. This document contains description of mechanical components selection, machine frame design and building, design and construction of USB motion control unit and also contains control software description and user manual.
