Determination of ergosterol content in brewing materials
Matyáš, Martin ; Ing.Pavla Kožušníková, Ph.D. (referee) ; Benešová, Karolína (advisor)
Presented bachelor’s thesis is focused on determination of ergosterol content in barley and malt. In theoretical part the presence of ergosterol in barley and malt has been elaborated, the purposes of its determination, detailed overview of previously applied methods of extraction from samples of barley and malt as well as other biological materials and methods of quantification. Practical part is focused on optimizing of extraction and determination of ergosterol by high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC – DAD).
Developing musical competences of children in pre-school age
BENEŠOVÁ, Karolina
The paper is concerned with the way of developing the musical competences of children in pre-school age. It has been divided into four chapters. The first one summarizes the general development of a child in its pre-school age. The second chapter explains the function of vocal body organs which participate in creating voice. In the third chapter I deal with the development of positive habits of children, when they are singing. These habits shall be taught in a pleasant and attractive way, thus in each section the reader will find some practical examples of simple exercises. These exercises should make the learning of basic competences, necessary for a healthy singing, pleasant and attractive. In the last chapter the reader will find instructions, how to use simple rhythmic instruments while working with children in a music lesson.
Sampling of persistent organic compounds using SPMDs: Advantages and disadvantages
Čáslavský, Josef ; Kotlaříková, Pavla ; Benešová, Karolína ; Doškářová, Š. ; Hamrusová, M.
Passive sampling methods gain more and more popularity for the sampling of persistent organic pollutants in the environment, including air. These passive samplers are substantially cheaper than standard active sampling methods, their deployment is simpler, they don't need electricity, thus they can be deployed even in very distant regions. They offer an itegrative response, therefore these samplers are especially suitable for monitoriong purposes. For quantitative evaluation it is necessary to establish the values of sampling rates for individual compounds. In the presented study these values for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were evaluated from the comparison of the results of passive sampling using SPMDs and standard active sampling method.
