Centralised load control
Poláš, Filip ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis compares two different aproaches in creating loading instructions, loadsheets and trimsheets. Practical examples are also given and described for better understanding. We become acquainted with centralised load control centres and the principles of their functioning. Centralised load control centres will be compared with conventional workplaces at the airports.
Noise reducing of aircraft engines
Čirka, Martin ; Kaddour, Mirvat (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
Nowadays, aircraft transportation influences everyday life in our society, but not only by its advantages of efective traveling, but also by its negative impact on environment, therefore us, people. Due to this reason, I decided to concern myself about noise reducing of aircraft engines in this thesis. Research in this field helps to develop comfort of traveling, but also very important fact is noise impact on people living in surroundings near airports. To understand problem to the roots, first we need to know how is noise actually defined. First part of my bachelor’s thesis contains describtion of sound and noise. I’m also focusing on methods for noise measurement and actions, which are used for noise reduction. Greatest success have been made with Variable Geometry Chevrons, which can adjust to different flying conditions and not just reduce noise, but also can keep thrust of the engine at the same level and is also reducing fuel consumtion during level flight. In fourth chapter, you’ll come to know about regulations, which were made to adopt standards and recommended practices concerning aircraft polution. Also very important factor for setting up new standards is process of aircraft testing, so I summed up principles and procedures, which are usedby aviation organizations.
Creation of documentation for the ATO certification according to PART-FCL
Zedníčková, Kristýna ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Hammer, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor´s thesis is processing of documentation for creation of approved training organization, which is acceptable for the Civil aviation authority. The certification of ATO will be issued by the Civil aviation authority on the base of this documentation according the new regulations considering PART-FCL.
Current trends in development of aircraft powerplant
Durchan, Vladimír ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Imriš, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelors thesis describes current trends and news in development in aircraft powerplants and their applications at currently produced aircraft engines. Individual construction solutions resulting from discussed trends are shown and described on examples of designed and developed aircraft engines.
Efficiency incerasing of axial compressors of jet engines
Fojtl, Michal ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with axial compressors of jet engines and with increasing their efficiency. First part describes basic principles of compressors, losses, stall and surge and compressor characteristics. Second part deals with possible solutions for increase of their efficiency and pressure rise. These solutions are summarized and possible combination is recommended.
Propfan engines in civil aviation transportation
Polák, Andrej ; Klement, Josef (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is written in the search form and discusses propfan aircraft engines. After introducing the concept itself, the first part deals with the principle functioning of engines and propulsion efficiency. The second part briefly describes the construction of these engines with a focus on specific parts of propfan engines differentiating concept from other aircraft engines. Then summarizes the features of these engines, describes their advantages and disadvantages and the possibilities of eliminating disadvantages. Finally briefly describes the history of the development of propfan engines.
Aircrafts auxiliary power units
Baran, Jan ; Klement, Josef (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelors thesis describes concepts used airborne auxiliary power units (APU) with respect to the determination of the main advantages and difficultes in the construction of individual concepts. It also defines the trends in this area. Part of the thesis describes the possibility of using fuel cells as an energy source on board the airplane.
Differences Between JAR-FCL and Part-FCL Requirements for License Issuing
Šebesta, Jakub ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Ptáček, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis provides an overview of legislative changes between JAR-FCL and Part-FCL regulation. It focuses primarily on changes of the licence publishing.
Modern low-emission combustion chamber for jet engines
Mašek, Jakub ; Nastálek, Ondřej (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis examines modern low-emission combustion chambers for jet engines. It´s foremost aim is to specify construction parameters of low-emission combustion chambers, compare it´s features and comprise the use of these combustors in civil aviation. Thesis deals with reasons of modern low-emission combustion chamber development and estimate future development in the region of aircraft industry. Another aim is to specify legislations of aviation emissions, history of certification standards and organizations, which make and control these limits.
Maintenance of jet engines
Drápal, Stanislav ; Koštial, Rostislav (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis relates to the problematic of jet engine maintenance. In the first part the reader is introduced to the historic context and functionality of the jet engine as well as to the various types of this engine. The second part relates to the problematic of maintenance, shows and compares different concepts and shows modern trends in this field. The last part is based on my visit in Letecké opravny Malešice, and shows practical methods used during overhauls of jet engines.
