Shooting narrative films with only available light

This thesis describes the topic of shooting a narrative film without the use of film lighting. The first part describes the topic in its general outlines and defines the various terms related to shooting in available light. Explores the motivation of other artists to choose this way of working and their subsequent style of work during the shooting. I also mention some film movements that are related to the topic. The second part is a description of the preproduction, shooting and postproduction of my graduation film "A Night Too Young" . In this project I used the method without the use of film lighting.
Electronic communication with use of electronic signature and data box

This thesis aims on modern ways of electronic communication. It includes electronic signature and data boxes. The first part of thesis focuses on the historical and present legal regulation and describes rights and responsibilities that users of these tools have. The second part deals with possible problems and their solution during the use of these two tools in routine practice. It also includes a summary of the main advantages and disadvantages of their use. Practical part demonstrates the specific use of data boxes and electronic signature at cadastral offices from the view of common user and the cadastral office itself.
Night in film

The night is one of the ways to learn about the presence of light. Similarly, the present thesis is one of the sources revealing something substantial about night and its presence around us. The actual theme of night is approached on the basis of its impact on both the human eye and the film material, or basically any other photosensitive element. This work has been drawn up and is comprised of several parts. The first part deals with the actual definition of the concept of night in encyclopaedic terms and night in general, its role in mythology, and it ends with the description of technical and psychological details of night scenes. The next part discusses the most typical adaptations and interpretations of night on the screen. It provides a list of instructions regarding the preparations of such an atmosphere, specifies the best shooting approaches and techniques and what is to be left for the process of post-production in a film laboratory. The text is complemented with numerous illustrations in the form of graphs, photos, exported film samples and picture instructions.
Focus as a feature and a means of expression

This bachelor thesis called ,,Focus as a feature and a means of expression'' inquires focused and unfocused image set in film frame or digital chip. Summarizes basic attributes of human eye, technical aspects and properties of film lenses. Goes in visual history of unfocused image and at the end summarizes psychological impression to spectator. Zooms in two possible points of view to this issue. To be educed in technical and also psychological aspects is fundamental necessity of Directors of Photography. This work is just basic text applied to given topic, nevertheless I hope it might help someone in his studies or professes.
Differences and specificities between documentary and feature film from the perspective of Director of photograhy

This bachelor thesis called "Differences and specificities between documentary and feature film from the perspective of Director of photograhy" deals with different cinematographer's practice in these two disciplines, choosing the correct image format, movie camera and lens, right material and others technical parameters which simplify director's of photography work. I also mention history of documentary and feature film, historical film equipment which I compare to present digital cameras and digital movie cameras. I also describe feature films containging documentary elements and documentary films containing feature films elements. As an example I analyse two of such films and qoute famous czech and worldwide filmmakers who vigorously influenced cinematography.
Hand-held camera

This work treats the hand- held camera shooting as mean of expression in cinematography. Partially the text is composed of historical and technical evolution of hand-held camera work. The description of using hand-held camera in way of dramaturgical construction of the film is done with help of several specific examples coming from different genres.
