Vliv střevní mikroflóry na endotoxinový šok
Hrnčíř, Tomáš ; Kobayashi, K. ; Flawell, R. A. ; Hudcovic, Tomáš ; Kozáková, Hana ; Štěpánková, Renata ; Tlaskalová, Helena
Endotoxin shock is the most severe complication of sepsis. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or endotoxin, a structural component of gram negative bacteria, is a major effector and can activate the innate immune system and lead to multiple organ failure, termed endotoxin shock. In our project we study the effect of intestinal microflora on the susceptibility to endotoxin using a model of germ-free and specific pathogen free mice
Slizniční imunita, střevní mikroflora a nespecifické střevní záněty
Tlaskalová, Helena ; Štěpánková, Renata ; Sokol, Dan ; Rossmann, Pavel ; Cukrowska, Božena ; Hudcovic, Tomáš ; Tučková, Ludmila ; Kozáková, Hana ; Řeháková, Zuzana ; Hrnčíř, Tomáš ; Drastich, Pavel ; Frolová, Lenka ; Powrie, F. ; Uhlig, H. ; Bland, P. W.
Etiological role of intestinal microflora and abberant function of mucosal immunity in development of inflammatory bowel disease is discussed. Animal models of human IBD are described and characterized
Influence of microflora in development of intestinal inflammation induced by dextran sodium sulfate in mice
Hudcovic, Tomáš ; Štěpánková, Renata ; Cebra, J. ; Tlaskalová, Helena
To elucidate the participation of intestinal microflora and the role of E.coli in the development of the acute and the chronic.
Protective effect of epidermal growth factor (EGF) in experimentally induced enertopathy in non-suckling baby rats
Štěpánková, Renata ; Kofroňová, O. ; Kozáková, Hana ; Hudcovic, Tomáš ; Tlaskalová, Helena
Our work aimed a study of morphological changes in the small intestine, especially in the jejunum, of unsuckled artificially reared young rats which received gliadin in neonatal period compared with pups which received artificial milk diet supplemented with EGF.
Influence of microflora in development of intestinal inflammation induced by dextran sodium suofate in immunocompetent (BALB/c) and immunodeficient (SCID) mice
Hudcovic, Tomáš ; Štěpánková, Renata ; Cebra, J. ; Tlaskalová, Helena
This studyaimed at setablishing the significance of intestinal microflora and role of E. coli in tedevelopmint of the acute and the chronic phase of the experimentally induced ulcerative colitis.
Role segmentované filamentozní bakterie (SFB) u experimentální kolitidy vyvolané u SCID myší rekonstituovaným přenosem CD4+CD45RB/hi T lymfocyty
Štěpánková, Renata ; Tlaskalová, Helena ; Powrie, F. ; Kozáková, Hana ; Hudcovic, Tomáš
Colitis was present only in conventional SCID mice and mice colonized with defined cocktail microflora plus segmented filamentous bacteria (SFB). Altered tight junctions (TJs) structure was detect histochemically in colitic mice using antibodies against ZO-1 proteins. Structural changes of TJs was important feature of intestinal inflammation
