Computational study of initial stages of metal film growth
Soukup, Jindřich
This work deals with the description and analysis of image data, which related to the initial stages of the thin film growth. The introductory retrieval section includes a description of thin films and methods of their deposition. The following part is an overview of the growth models of thin layers. The heart of my thesis is the analysis and modification of morphological methods and interpretation of their results. The emphasis is placed on the statistical aspect of methods and their optimal implementation due to the accuracy of the results. The work shows how to modify the radial distribution function and methods based on so-called Voronoi and Delaunay triangulation tessellation so that they can better affect the character of test data. New methods are tested both on the experimental and model data. Then we examine their robustness, sensitivity and their mutual independence. At the conclusion it is introduced and analyzed a new model of thin film growth.
Extracting Control Points from Image Pairs for Perspective Transformation
Hajič, Jakub ; Blažek, Jan (advisor) ; Soukup, Jindřich (referee)
Image registration is a part of many higher level image processing tasks. This thesis presents a novel approach to control point extraction as part of pairwise image registration. In combination with a suitable matching and model estimation algorithm, the extracted points could be used for estimating a global perspective transformation between the images. Our method extracts several features from image patches surrounding every point, and calculates an interest measure based on them. We use a supervised learning algorithm to obtain parameters of this extraction method. A control point matching algorithm is presented which considers the surrounding image patches of the control points and calculates a rotationally invariant similarity measure. We compare the results between our method of control point extraction and the Harris corner detector, and discuss the results of the matching and methods to improve both the matching and the control point extraction.

Fiscal policy of the Czech Republic in the first decade of the 21st century and its influence to business sector
Bejčková, Radka ; Soukup, Jindřich (advisor) ; Follprecht, Štěpán (referee)
The subject of this Bachelor's thesis is the analysis of the fiscal policy of the Czech Republic in the period from 2000 till 2012 focused on the revenue side of the state budget, especially then on the corporate income tax. The first part theoretically describes the issue of fiscal policy and tax system. The next part analyses the development of individual fiscal measures in corporate income tax in the selected time period, the reason why they have been established and how they might have affected the behaviour of taxpayers. The structure of the state budget is shown on the specific data and the last part examines the impact of the fiscal measures on the development of macroeconomic indicators.
Analysis of regional disparities in unemployment in Slovakia and their causes
Pavlík, Peter ; Dobrylovský, Jiří (advisor) ; Soukup, Jindřich (referee)
The thesis is focused on the assessment of the state of unemployment in the regions of Slovakia. The aim is through the analysis of population structure by education or nationality, their economic activity or employment by economic sectors, to identify the main causes of significant differences in the reported unemployment rates between eight state regions. The thesis also provides an overview of basic theoretical concepts related to unemployment and an overview of the prior macro-economic and political development in Slovakia.
Fiscal policy of Slovakia and its effects on business sector
Farkas, Orsolya ; Soukup, Jindřich (advisor) ; Dobrylovský, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to discuss the fiscal policy in the Slovak Republic between 2007 and 2013. The main goals were to analyze the impact of the public sector's activities on the economic growth. The following work is divided into four parts. The first part is mainly theoretical and offers the description of basic terms. In the second part a detailed analysis of government and state budget can be found, how the individual items developed in reality and to what extent did it accomplish the planned budget. The third part is devoted to macroeconomic indicators, which influenced the development of fiscal policy. The last part of the thesis explains the impact of the most important state measures on both the economic situation and business sector of Slovakia with respect to aggregate demand and aggregate supply (AD-AS) model.
The importance of petroleum, ruble and dollar in geoeconomic processes
Sukhoverkhov, Mikhail ; Džbánková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Soukup, Jindřich (referee)
This master thesis deals with a number of international processes in terms of geoeconomics. The main goal of this work is to research the position of dollar, ruble and petroleum in geoeconomic processes. At first goes the analysis of the current condition of the United States dollar, the assessment of exposure level of the system to other countries to establish the real role of the U.S. Federal Reserve. Then goes the analysis of the current status of Russian ruble and the Central Bank of Russian Federation. A large part of the work is devoted to petroleum as a basic raw material at present and its relations to U.S. dollar. At the end is the assessment of the U.S. dollar prospects in the 21 century and possible solutions, which will probably help to eliminate the negative consequences in case of using dollar as the dominant financial system in the world.
Fiscal policy of the Russian Federation after 2000
Lipkin, Aleksei ; Soukup, Jindřich (advisor) ; Kulbakov, Nikolay (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor's Thesis is to analyze the fiscal policy of the Russian Federation, explaining the principles of this policy, defining the specifics of the operation, targets, weaknesses, main instruments and tools. The first part is a theory describing the topic related to fiscal and budgetary policy and tax system. The next section is an assessment of the current tax system and the overall tax burden in the Russian Federation. Also is discussed the structure of state budget's revenues and expenditures of the Russian Federation, and its development over time. There is an analysis of state debt of the Russian Federation and conducted an analysis of individual state actions on the model of aggregate supply and aggregate demand. In conclusion is the overall assessment of the fiscal policy of the Russian Federation and a summary of the performed Bachelor's Thesis.
U. S. Fiscal Policy
Petrová, Dominika ; Soukup, Jindřich (advisor) ; Rusmichová, Lada (referee)
The subject of this Bachelor's thesis is the analysis of the fiscal policy of the United States of America in the period from 1993 till 2013. It is focused on presidencies of William Jefferson Clinton, George Walker Bush and Barack Hussein Obama. My goal is to describe and review progress of economy of the USA in each presidency period and to realise how they contributed to the welfare of the USA and whether they were able to reach their objects. The first part will describe fiscal policy, its function and forms, and macroeconomic indicators in a theoretical way. The second part is practical. In the beginning of this section, there is a description of expenditures, revenues (tax system), federal budget and federal debt of the United States of America. Afterwards I describe reforms, provisions and pre-elect plans of particular presidents and analyse historical data which relate with the condition of economy of the USA. In the last part of my thesis I evaluate if the presidents reached their plans and goals and how their reforms affect the economy of the whole federation.
