Framework for internet strategy & heroes
Pešek, Jan ; Čermák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Martínek, Vladislav (referee)
This bachelor's thesis describes a software project framework that enables the user to create an online turn-based game inside an internet browser, focusing on customizability. The framework allows the user to create a game for two players and enables him to implement advanced configuration of the game by programming additional modules. Part of the project is a model game with predefined data, example modules and graphic representation. The text contains an evaluation of current available technologies usable for developing interactive online applications, along with discussion of some key problems that show up during developing such application. The text includes description of project implementation, the structure of the application, database and object design and application documentation with a manual for creating customized modules.
SOFA 2 graphical tools improvement
Kudláček, Ondřej ; Malohlava, Michal (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
This enhancement of component system SOFA 2 is focused on the graphical interface. SOFA 2 is based on Eclipse Modeling Framework, through which is constructed a hierarchical model of the system. The extension of SOFA 2 developed in this project provides - via the graphical interface tools for the so called Deployment Plan - an editing of applications developed by SOFA 2 and copying of their components between repositories. The graphical interface is created as a stand-alone program or as a plug-in for the Eclipse platform. The enhancement is added to the management console called MConsole, which allows editing models and applications developed in SOFA 2. The whole library is programmed in the Java programming language. The graphical environment is build on JFace library for EMF-based models editors. EMF.Edit framework and its library Command are used for the editation of the models.
Information System for Conference Planning
Malý, Petr ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
The subject of this thesis is to design and implement an information system usable in the area of science conferences. The work introduces the reader into issue that had to be solved during the development. It will also familiarise the reader with application's structure and give the instructions for use. The program allows the user to gather and manipulate information about science conferences. The system also allows managing assignment of monetary resources and their connections with individual conferences. Therefore, it offers creation of monetary resources overviews.
NetRadio
Daniel, Jakub ; Marek, Lukáš (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis introduces an internet radio player capable of selecting favourite con- tent independently of the user's intervention, when it is not necessary, as a so- lution to a problem residing in the fact that once the station's content stops meeting user's interest he is forced to manually tune a more desirable station. To achieve this goal the application continuously monitors all stations from the list and records user's preferences. Every time there is a change in the currently available set of contents the player may decide what is the station most likely to be appreciated by the listener.
Adaptive formations for virtual agents
Švagerka, Michal ; Plch, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čermák, Miroslav (referee)
There is a growing number of virtual agents in today's virtual worlds. This is directly related to the need of coordinating their behavior and movement. In this work we design algorithms to maintain desired formation of agents while moving through difficult terrain. The methods we study should maintain the requirements of the formation as well as traverse along various obstacles. We then use an arbitrary fitness function to compare the performance of these methods on typical scenarios.
SPARQL compiler for Bobox
Čermák, Miroslav ; Zavoral, Filip (referee) ; Dokulil, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of the work is to design and implement a SPARQL compiler for the Bobox system. In addition to lexical and syntactic analysis corresponding to W3C standard for SPARQL language, it performs semantic analysis and optimization of queries. Compiler will constuct an appropriate model for execution in Bobox, that depends on the physical database schema.
Game server
Čermák, Miroslav ; Klusáček, David (referee) ; Kocanda, Jiří (advisor)
Main goal of this work is to create new web application "game server" in PHP programming language. Server consists of Main module and extension modules: Chess module and Fun module. It also enables user to share pictures, videos and funny texts, chat and play chess. Part of the application is system of user roles that is used to manage and apply rights for common operations and administrative interface to manage server users and modules. Extension of server functionality can be done by adding new modules. As data storage is used MySQL database.
Reasons for NoSQL deployment, and especially MongoDB
Čermák, Miroslav ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Tomášková, Barbora (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines reasons of NoSQL databases deployment and especially MongoDB database. It introduces these databases, describes its classification, specific properties, including its advantages. It continues with introduction of MongoDB and its case studies. Advantages of this database are shown on the custom model of e-commerce system. These reasons are then summarized in the individual chapter.
